[Issue 28] What to mount on: Dictator

It seems that the hornet/rail is still the best combo. Dictator, at least at my level, has less armor, speed, and power than viking(only advantage is weight). Even with the weight, viking has a better center of gravity, so I will stick with viking or other light/medium hulls.

Dictator gets far better at M1. M1 Dictator has more health, weight, turning speed, and power than M1 Viking. I find M1 Dictators much harder to deal with than M1 Vikings.

When using twins, use the height of dictator at your advantage, and you will rule!

It can be done, but I disagree. It is not perfectly suited. Dictator just makes Twins more awkward than it should be. It is rare for a Dictator to be better than a Viking with Twins; if ever.

A dictator can actually perform better then a viking with twjns. What matters with twins, is hp not speed. And as I said, its heigjt can be a great advantage in the right hands. I'm a dictator user forever, it's just my opinion.

Height with Twins can be used well, but my point is that it is normally less helpful than helpful, IMO. I'm a Dictator-over-Viking user forever too, but I've never got on with Twins when using Dictator. As for Isida with Dictator, I agree with you, I think its one of the best combinations in Silence that you can get in the game.

But Hoggie, with Dic+Twins you can shoot over your teammates to hit the enemy tanks because of the great position of your gun and your height = wasting no shots... ^-^

While with vik+twins, you'll almost always shoot against the back of your teammates tanks, making it pretty annoying for them to drive backwards/move,also,you'll be wasting alot of shots, unless you get into a position where you have clear shots on your targer, which makes you vulnerable for enemy shots, but, this will also happen with dictator, even if there is an allied tank infront of you catching most of the shots.... ^-^

But yea,it's just something what you like, what you're used to,your opinion...

Good point, Problem is, I'm a very untactical player - I normally just fly into the enemy base no matter what - and that's why I would prefer Viking to Dictator. I see your point, though.

I find Dictator+straight firing guns (Smoky and Thunder to be accurate) weak in close quarters combat. I noticed it after parking next to a Dictator+Thunder (I was using Viking/Ricochet. it would probably be the same with Wasp, Hornet and Hunter). Poor guy couldn't even shoot me, while I was obliterating him.

Dictator-Smoky/Thunder doesn't lack in close quarters firepower for me. All you have to do is avoid getting rammed from the side (situational awareness, mostly); if someone comes towards you from the front (or back), they won't stand a chance. In the rare case that I get rammed from the side, I still find it easy to get "unstuck".

Wasp, Hornet, and Hunter don't have that problem, since they're not particularly tall.

why is it good? aren't there other hulls with greater surface area?

Pushing power is almost the highest. However, it's greatness comes with the heigt of the hull, Goldbox falls on top of that tall giant every time.

Railgun dicators only flaw: enemies right next to you, you shoot right over 'em.

With  It would probably be the same with Wasp, Hornet and Hunter. I meant that parking with them next to the side of Dictator will lead to the same results. But I have to admit that when I wrote my last statement, I didn't think much on my words. Dictator doesn't have close quarter weakness if used right.
