Smart Cooldowns

Tanki make it so that when you respawn you cannot activate a supply for 20 seconds. I am saying this because everyone is either using health box or double power and that's not really making your game more dynamic. Plus when you activate double armor right when it says gold is about to fall, the thing doesn't even last for a minute. It lasts for 40 seconds which is really annoying since everyone usually uses x2 power and u will be killed easily.

First of all, you don't HAVE to activate a supply when gold warning arrives. <_<

It is a very handy strategy that is used by some, whereas a player doesn't use drugs when a Gold warning arrives. Instead, he lets the tanks around him kill each other, and lets their drugs run out. Then, when gold is about to fall (Can either predict, whereas count to 30 seconds or almost a minute, or wait until gold actually appears), they swoop in with a drug and take it. . . .

Though of course that was back when x3 drugging was still common. However, the end result is that the drug can last.

 

As for the whole idea entirely:

I think it has some benefits. However, I still disagree with it. When you respawn, you should still be able to use drugs, especially now since you can't activate all 3. It does add to the dynamics of the game, as it keeps the adrenaline and excitement consistent. This 20 second gap actually breaks that consistency.

 

And furthermore, if a take-over happens, and a team COMPLETELY dominates the other side of the team's territory, the other team can't necessarily fight back well at all. When they respawn, they can't drug, and is pushed back even more, etc. You get what I mean?

its a 50/50, i just dont players to use a supply from their garage right when they respawn. I get that you are trying to say that i should wait and then use drugs when gold falls, but if your trying to hold off an area how will it be without some sort of double? Btw at my rank twins are dominating and at higher ranks Thunders are dominating, so it would actually be nice since thunder has splash damage and twins has unlimited firepower which is good but deadly and you really cant escape it since it knocks you back.

I like Smart Cool-Downs, but the system is somewhat odd. For example, I place a mine, and every other Supply, except N02(speed boost) is disabled. I mean, it's supposed to be strategy right? A very common one is; when, you're getting chased, you place a mine and use Repair Supply to regain the life your follower took. What happened to that strategy?!?!?!?

I believe that Smart Cool-Downs should exclude Mines, I understand, the other ones. For example, the most common issue was at CTF(Capture The Flag) someone would completely use the supplies,(Double power, Double Speed, Double Damage) and when they're about to die, they heal themselves. Basically indestructible. I understand why the other supplies are disabled, but mines are complete strategy.

MInes are Stragegy!!!.

Why are they disabled if they are Strategy!!! Most Strategies REQUIRE mines!!!

So, you are starting to realize what this update has done to the game. It rather implied a certain way to procceed, than let players choose what to do on the battlefield. I hope TO Devs understant it also.

Question and REPORT to Tanki - hacking or gap in smart cool down system?

 

Since the introduction of smart cool downs, I have done many battles. I have noticed - AND WITNESSED WITH MY OWN EYES - several players who have all 3 drugs on at the same time - WITHOUT ANY PICK UPS OR DROPS involved. Some players I have seen multiple times during the same game with all 3 drugs on at the same time for longer periods, again without picks or drops.

 

Technically, in the new system, I think this would be impossible.

I suggest you may check your programming on possible gaps in the system, picked up by hackers or some other trick.

Wow, i never noticed or considered it hacking but one things for certain, in team modes one team is full on drugs and the others suffer. Drugs, when used by an entire team just makes things complicated and ignorant. Take for example Noise and Silence. They are both lopsided maps and gives one team an advantage over the other.

now tell me what team have advantage in noise and silence, how to kill a wasp that climbed whit flag on the top house and a mammoth shaft sitting under the lowest bridge whit 3 isidas around. also give me a video of someone getting all the supplies on whitout drops for more than a couple of second. i will wait.

To kill a wasp with the flag all you have to do is use smoky, railgun or shaft. and to kill a mammoth use a short rang weapon or weapon that has splash damage.

I think they included mines because in every mode players use mines to get away and defend a certain area. Once that area is filled with mines its gonna be hard to kill their owner and since those players usually have mammoth.

Then simply limit how many mines are present at a certain moment. This way you can place mines with no cooldown, but you can't completely, mine-field a region.

Please Clarify, this is confusingly said. If what you are saying is that Smart Cool-Downs as a whole was bad, I disagree, I simply believe, and as they well know, there is some space for improvement. This is common with newly introduced concepts anywhere.

All I can say; improve your strategy!!! What you are saying is that the game has become more challenging right?

THAT IS THE POINT!!!

If you can't handle the difficulty play another game!!! Sorry for being so straightforward, but it is what it is.

I have noticed - AND WITNESSED WITH MY OWN EYES - several players who have all 3 drugs on at the same time - WITHOUT ANY PICK UPS OR DROPS involved. Some players I have seen multiple times during the same game with all 3 drugs on at the same time for longer periods, again without picks or drops.

It's not impossible, but I do agree there is a gap. Cool-Down time is a bit too short, making it easier to drug. It might be hard to, but it's possible. For example, when you use a supply, it lasts about 40 seconds, the Cool Down lasts about 20. this makes it so that you can only use two of your drugs at a time. I believe you simply might have missed when the other player picked up only one of the drugs and filled up the rest with his own.

My objection to this update is based on the fact that it blocked my game style. I used to use few drugs per battle, say occasionally, in certain conditions only (capturing a flag, stopping someone from running away with our flag, breaking an enemy defence line etc. For this I usually used 2 drugs together, or even all three, or nitro+ health+ mine... Now, I can't do that. Having to go to certain places and wait for a drop is not strategy, it's masochism, let alone this spot doesn't suits me for applying the said drug... Furthermore, I noticed that after the update most people use drugs more than before.. So that's not going to make me happy as a buyer, as I have to buy drugs now (which I don't and won't untill something changes), and at the same time save for new paints or tank upgrades. Am I clear enough now?

Ok, stop chewing these candys: "strategy", "chalenge", "skill". It's stu_id to call noob everyone that doesn't agree with the new supplies interaction.

Parrots do that, you 're supposed to be humans with the ability to THINK.

And btw, I handle the new conditions just fine... But, I DON'T ENJOY Tanki Online AS I DID BEFORE.

Since the introduction of smart cooldowns, I have noticed players on the same team sometimes spending more time competing with each other to grab supply drops, than they are in fighting the other team.

I am still of the opinion, that tactics or strategy have been reduced to chance.  I prefer to be able to depend on my own supplies as I decide to use them, instead of hoping for a random supply drop.  I would rather use my own supplies simultaneously in any combination I choose, not have a limited choice dictated to me.

On the subject of supplies, I am in the fortunate position of being able to purchase crystals whenever I choose, then use these to stock my garage.

The situation now is one where I spend my cash, but do not have free use of the supplies I purchase.

No need for the aggression, Before the introduction of the New Physics and the following updates after that, in my opinion Tanki was perfect. Smoky was never a short range gun since it cant even do its full punch at medium distance. I started to think the developers lost their minds and were thinking on what benifitted them. Im not hating on Smart Cooldowns im just saying how is it tactical when everyone is using x2 power and using certain supplies at respawn. I can handle difficulty, and at your rank I don't even know what kind of battles u face but from WO5, battles become intense and extremely difficult. Many tanks at M2 are just garbage, take hornet for example the turn speed at M2 is kind of annoying since you can easily flip and all that. For some reason at high FPS the tanks go faster and sluggier.

CHallenge is what makes the game fun. That's the reason I don't play the same games my younger brother does. If you don't enjoy the game anymore, as I said, Look for a new one!! 

FYI- Strategy REQUIRES thinking, so I am thinking. Also, I never called anyone noob. The so-called strategy of using all supplies at the same time for breaking enemy lines is the EXACT reason this cooldowns were created. So users like you, who don't mind using lots of supplies per game, don't have much of an advantage over other players. You probably already powerful than most, with M+1 Weapons and Hulls. It's not only about strategy, it also enforces fairness. Not everyone uses lots of supplies, some simply don't like it, others simply don't have enough.
