I think you guys should think more. Flash is good, stable, long term support for years. Why would they move away to Unity if it doesn't make any profits ?

 

I guess Tanki new focus will be on mobile. Go mobile, go younger. Flash is not cross-platform on mobile devices, not saying about the power-hungry "feature", which is theoretically debatable. Unity works on mobile devices, such as templ* r*n game. On miniclip, there are games requires Unity. Its hard to integrate 2 different systems while 1 system could solve the problem.

 

About the option for drug in pro battles, it's more a problem of the underlying engine than policy. From Hazel posts in open testing topic, I think implementing it would do no much harm for Tanki, not saying that more good than harm, but they have no choice with the current system.

 

About the "childish" part, the skill side of tanki is solid now with StarLadder. A child cannot enter a team there without learning. What Tanki looks like now is like a technology discipline topic in a party. It's hard to discuss or recommend to others if you cannot win most battles when one or two 234 isida m1 wasp m1 smoky m1 thunder m1 dominating at master-sergeant rank without pain. Tanki now is ok with the skills part for most adults, what they are looking for is the popularity like those "free2play" games on mobile and pcs, laptops out there. So all updates recently are all for that, weaker kits, smart cooldowns, etc. They are clearing the way. Designs and shapes fits younger age kids more.

 

You pay for the game to serve you better. It proves that you are wrong. You pay but you own nothing, thats how online games business works. They will move to which benefits them the most in the end, benefits for buyers are temporary.

Unity is nearly impossible to handle for everyone's computer. Some players will survive Unity, some won't. Many players will leave when they change to Unity.

Then go play Tanki on flash with your PC then lol. They are not killing Flash version when Unity version is out. Flash is for PC, and dead on mobile devices. Tanki use Unity for mobile devices, not Adobe AIR for them. Tanki would like to have something to fall back to when Flash may not be actively supported anymore. Edited October 23, 2014 by wisx11

Let me get this right, Tanki will now be available to phones if they move to Unity, meaning they would get more money off of Play Store or App Store if they make an App. So, their concentration is PC-to-phone because they want to make more money by Play Store. Now I know why they decided to let go of the buyers...
