IDK EVEN KNOW ANYMORE

Tanki, theres something I don't understand about your game and I think its more in your heads. For some reason you do the same thing over and over. take it for example, Freeze is OP at ranks from WO1-Captain. After that its utterly useless. M3 freeze cant even circle and Isida M3 without dying since Isida restores a great amount of health and its turn speed is to great. Also Firebird is underpowered from WO3-WO5. Its only great from When the M1 becomes available in the garage. People can kill steal because you cant accept the fact that your ideas on firebird suck, and that the afterburn effect should be short and sweet not for eternity. At M2 though the amount of damage is high and OP M3 freeze. The release of the fire I to quick and the ammo is to much for such a weapon of great damage. Then theres the fact that you keep switching the tank statistics around. Dictator is stronger than Viking at M1, M2 and M3 yet not at M0? Then theres hunter, it keeps jumping from 90 to 165 then 190 then 235? whats up with that? Why is it so weak at m0 and M2? Then theres the fact that people are having trouble adjusting to weapons because when you use it its different and weaker because of the Micro Upgrades. Just make it for M3 since theres an actual point because theres no more upgrades it has to go through. Then theres the fact that I keep getting DCC for days and days,and others are complaining that they don't get it and that's maybe cause  you keep sending them to me. That's why im spamming the forum, your spamming me with DCC. I would wait and see how things turn out but you guys are a disappointment and I just don't even know anymore,  I would move on but I still like some parts of your game.

LOL same here. There were a few times I got dcc on all my accounts on the same day I was like seriously.

 

Back to the topic. I think the reason why some hulls and turrets are weaker at some modification level is because if one of them has like really good stats on every level then everyone would use it all the time. Like for example, if Tanki didn't make hunter like how you mentioned then people would stick with it all the time since it would be like the strongest hull on every level.

Nice rant.  The power of an upgrade is tied to the player rank rather than the m rank.  For example smoky m2 unlocks one rank before thunder m3, of course it is going to be much more powerful than thunder m2.  Ostensibly this is done to make gameplay more dynamic, but most people suspect it is to force players to buy multiple turrets and hulls as they rank.  No matter what build you use it will be underpowered at some point.  In theory microupgrades balance this and hulls that can be unlocked earlier can be upgraded more, but since no one wastes money on microupgrades before m3 it doesn't have an impact.

I think it's meant both for adding the game dynamics and increasing income sources. As for the dynamics I think its ok. As for fishing cash, I believe they maybe overdo it a little bit  :P (which is rather my #1 problem with TO, in regard to other web "free" games).

Still i don't mind micro upgrades that much but i hate it that when someone else has micro upgrades and you have the next modification of what they have, yet they are stronger. I also remember hunter M2 used to have a health of 205 or 209.

That's actually impossible. If I decide to fully upgrade M1 Smoky on all parameters, it's still going to be weaker than M2 Smoky.

 

Also, Klankill, technically you can't get high off of alcohol. You can get drunk, sure, but not really high.

Actually, that's not a suggestion. That's a statement, and furthermore, his opinion. And I'll have to say this before someone else tries to act smart and say "but many people think its bad t00." If many people jumped off a cliff, it still doesn't make it right. :lol:

A suggestion would be more like: Tanki Online should not do anymore updates that screw up the game."

However, such a suggestion is too bland and short, and would belong in the pinned threads. It does not deserve a whole topic, not to mention it would be lazy and ignorant.

More dynamic features for players, and more revenue for Devs.

Updates that generate revenue should be considered a given, after all, it takes money to pay those people to develop these updates; coding is not easy work. And furthermore, TO has only 1 currency, thus it can make any update that seems so simple to players, dangerous since it can affect the economy.. How much can you give out without making Buying insufficient, but at the same time without getting non-buyers annoyed? If TO had 2+ currencies, I'd think that it would be more similar to other "free" games around the web.

 

@Klankill: I wish it took one night. If updates only took one night to plan, and implement, then TO would be already on Unity! :D

Its not impossible, i have tried killing an M0 Wasp and Smoky with M1 Wasp and Smoky yet i can't because of micro upgrades and he didn't even have any protection. I had Cedar with 5% protection from Smoky yet i died and this guy haunted me for days by appearing in the same battles. I can't give you his name since i can't find it in the members bank.

See this page on the wiki. Compare the damage of a fully MUed M0 Smoky and the damage of a non-MUed M1 Smoky. The vanilla M1 Smoky has higher stats all around.

@TheKillerPenguin: Can you check an MU'd Smoky M1's reload time vs. an un-MU'd Smoky M2?

Because if the M1 Smoky could've shot more shots, then that could've played an important factor in the battle.

 

If not, then there were probably some other confounding variables that took part in the battle.

An example may be missed shots. Oh well.

 

Oh by the way Arun, how did that guy follow you? Was he on your Friends List or something? Lol.

Certainly not! More revenue for TO is a loose-loose for the "milking cow", that is us, players! Obligatory fee (as supplies market has become) is bad for most of the players, only the wealthy can afford it. I wonder, you 're a clever person, how come you don't understand it?  Tanki is simply greedy (excuse my language, but we know other games on the web too, TO is one of the most expensive...)

I don't see the point of being happy with someone who spend a lot of money and time to construct a money-trap for me (that will make me pay more than before)... on the contrary... are you sure you don't work for TO? I wonder...  :mellow:

Not valid, what you say. There are simple ways to regulate currency in TO, without increasing the sources of income AND without messing and destroying players game style. (Maybe one of these days I make a post about how many ways there are for TO to milk us "properly"). TO IS expencive, that's a fact. It is flirting with Greed already. Pity, for it is a good game.
