Terrain friction coefficient

I don't know if this is an old idea already but how about different terrain types having different friction coefficients that slow down the tanks with different forces? For example, a smart tanker would select a route paved with asphalt rather than grass or swamp in order to maintain speed when carrying the flag.

This is actually not a bad idea. This would make the game more interesting. However I don't believe the developers are adding anything new to the current game regarding gameplay/graphics, but in the Unity Version, which they're creating, perhaps this is a good idea. :)

That could be possible in Unity I think. We could have sandy, grassy, rough, rocky terrain and perhaps even air resistance in small storms or haze winds.
