New Hull: Thorns

So here's my hull idea:

Name: Thorns

Hull strength: A bit higher than Wasp's

Pushing Power: Around Hunter's

Weight: A bit higher than Hunter's

Speed: A bit higher than Hunter's

 

And here's the Important part:

Damage Upon Impact with enemy tank: half of smoky's non-critical

 

This hull would allow for you to ram other tanks, and damage them. This would be helpful for a railgun, or a slow-reload turret user, because if you're waiting for your turret to reload, you can ram your target and still damage them!

 

What's your opinion?

1st of all you are small rank. buy m1 hulls and then make ideas for new hulls

2nd how about micro upgrades? do you forget them!?!?

1. So what if I'm a low rank? Can't I express my ideas?

2. Just make it go up like normal!

Guys come on, quit hating on the new players.  Grant it, I am a semi-low rank player, but I see that new players are wanting to help the game improve.  :D

I like the idea. I think it would be great if you showed us what it would look like. ;)

Imagine hunter, but with spikes right above the treads, in a circle around the tank. m0's spikes would be small, but not unnoticeable, and the spike size and density (how close they are together) would increase with rank (m1, m2, m3)

I hope that satisfied your question, but I don't think I can get a actual picture, because I'm not so good with image editors. If someone could make an image for me, I'd be happy to use it!

well that is a good idea but then all the tankers would be using it and then what would happen to the other hulls?

Remember how I said before it would have a bit less than average speed, and average hull strength? This is a hull for close-range combat, and bad in other ways, like hull strength. If you can't get to your enemy in time, then what's the point of being able to ram and do damage to them? With snipers, sometimes you want REALLY high hull strength, and they wouldn't use this hull then!

 

EDIT: Also, look at the poll results. the highest choice so far is "sometimes". This shows that people may use it a bit more than other hulls, but not all the time!

This is a really nice idea except that I think it might make the Isida really strong depending on the speed of the tank which it would have to be high otherwise why include it having spikes? So basically Isida goes close range and uses speed in most cases, atleast I do, and I"m always rammed up against a tank. 75% of the time I am. So I'm attacking an enemy tank and I'm rammed up to him while doing essentially an immense amount of damage AND healing myself? That is really good. 

I"m not complaining but it is a concern.

Well, this hull wouldn't really move THAT fast, (imagine a bit less than hornet's speed) and it has a less-than-average armor. Just use high-impact guns, and run away with long-distance guns like thunder or twins or railgun, or even plant mines! And the damage done by spikes is pretty low, half of smoky's non-critical! Also, to escape, you can still move if the spikes are in your tank.

They should make an added "upgrade" that would cost like 2,000 crystals for M0 hulls, 20,000 crystals for M1 hulls, 40,000 crystals for M2 hulls, and 100,00 for M3 hulls. This "upgrade" should make it so that your hull would be able to do melee damage depending on how fast your speed is upon contact with the enemy tank.

But that is biased against heavy hull users.

Good point. Perhaps because they are heavy hulls maybe they could have "heavier melees" (in this case more powerful, it doesn't slow the tank down). Meaning that the full speed of a Hornet collision will do like 30 hitpoint damage the full speed of a Titan collision will do like 35 hitpoint damage. I really don't know though. I remember posting this idea of melee damage in the ideas and suggestions page a long time ago...

nice idea i would use this hull somtimes but i like viking , the developers should already have ram damage but this hull would be to weak for my liking anyway
