The whole parkour community fade out in dust it seems, maybe we can get it alive sometime in the future haha :D

The parkour community has almost disappeared .. all clubs are inactive..

Clubs are dead, but parkour isn't dead :)

I don't think so -_- Clubs are still active but not all of them. For example my club Flying Juniors is still alive and healthy (so alive that we were warned for spamming and flooding  :( )

Hey :)

I'm back, with an awesome team that is ready to help creating a much better version of the Parkour Dictionary videos! We have lots of awesome parkourists, spectators and a commentator!

I plan to update and re-write the whole thing, but I need your help too!

I haven't been around for a whole year, so it's very likely for me to miss a lot of stuff when I try to catch up. This is where I need your help, I need you to tell me what new tricks were invented, and suggestions for good names for them! Also ideas of improving the names of old tricks are welcome, and we still have one old unnamed trick.

Please help me with this, I do it for you! ^^

Plans for now:

Some tricks will be united into groups of a fundamental trick and extensions, for example Edge Jump is a fundamental trick and Cliff Jump is one of it's extensions.

Each video will include a fundamental trick and it's extensions, or 2 fundamental tricks if they are closely related. At the end of every video there will be a montage of examples of where these tricks can be used.

Will also add an "archive" section for tricks that are no longer possible due to changes in physics and parameters.

Still got a lot of work to do with searching for new tricks, testing old ones to see if they still work, working on video scripts...

Update!

Plans changed. Not gonna do the grouping thing, looks better when they are just listed separately with the extension of the trick right under.

The grouping in the videos is still a part of the plan.

Updated all the text - wrote better descriptions and added a list of good uses for each trick.

Added two tricks to the list: Rico Jump and Border Jump.

Moved the following tricks to the archive: Shaft Jump, Leap, Vulcan parkour in test server, Climbing cliffs with Ricochet

The last two weren't in the list before because climbing cliffs with rico wasn't possible when I started the Parkour Dictionary, and the other one was only in test server. But now that we have the archive, there is a place for them in this topic.

Also replaced the old elevator video with a new video showing both Twins and Ricochet elevators.

What's left to do now is check for tricks I might have missed, come up with names for two tricks I haven't added yet but I will add soon, and of course make new high quality videos with commentary.

New version - new design!

I designed nice headers for the topic, and a nicer title ^_^

Added the following tricks: Front Lift, Back Lift, Rocking, Steps

Added an explanation of what are fundamental tricks, extended / modified tricks, and complex tricks. it's in the very bottom of the topic under the "terms" category.

Where are the videos?

Yeah I expected it to not be obvious enough, will have to find a way to fix this :\

For now you have to click the title to watch the video of that trick (as written on the very top of the topic)

EDIT: solved the problem :) added "[ video ]" next to each title for the link to be more visible

From now on, this is the official logo of the Parkour Dictionary:

Might make a few small changes to it in the future when I get better at photoshopping, but I'm gonna keep the same concept, I don't want to keep changing logos.

Looks good, but if it was smaller it would be more pleasing to the eye. I suggest you to do this x =500Image[/imgx] (at middle will be link though.)(wihtout the space ofcourse)(and number represents resize to smaller one)
