Implement an "Auto D/L setting option"



Basically when someone creates a battle it would provide the capability for them if they wished to set the basic D/L ratio required to remain in the battle!! So, if a players D/L ratio falls below the set level, then they get 2 minutes to get above the set level before they automatically get kicked.

Setting Level: The setting level could start from whatever the player decides for example it could be set as a minimum  0.30 on one battle, but another play could set their minimum required ratio to 0.60

 

New players: Joining a battle a player could be given a 7 minute grace period in which to establish themselves above the D/L setting.

 

Isida's: Could have a H/D/L ratio, whereby kills and healing's together are set against the amount of losses incurred!  If an Isida Healed 3 people and killed 2, but died 10 times their H/D/L ratio would be 0.50.

 

Cliques: Sometimes with the old kick system players would be kicked from a battle for simply not belonging to a certain group of friends, meaning battles were sometimes run by "cliques" - specific groups of players.  An automatic D/L option means no unfair kicking from battles!

 

This Idea might sound harsh, but in most cases of sabotage players who purposely cause destruction have next to no kills or points. Doing a kick system this way would mean they would have to play with some effort freeing up moderation time currently spent on viewing sabotage videos, leaving the mods more time to view videos of suspected hackers. According to the latest Tanki V-log they view hundreds of videos on daily basis. 


I can't see how this D/L setting isn't fair to players who want to play and enjoy Tanki and have put in effort and time!

Healers have to kill instead of heal now. Just great, and my teammates would be kill stealing while I inflict damage so I get kicked for healing, capturing flag when enemies are somewhere I can't kill them, inflicting damage but not being able to fire the last hit, my bad driving skills, capturing Control Point with no enemies to kill, not being able to kill with no enemies to be found, and etc.

It's a great idea to bring it back up! I think this is a great idea for TDM battles, but ONLY TDM battles.

 

 

This is a very bad Idea... when  you get killed once and you just joined your kicked

everyone joining will be kicked since the dl would be 0,00. Face it bad idea ._.

Not necessarily...if we change it around a little bit and make it based off the destroys:lost ratio then it can be a good idea.

 

I will add to this...

 

If your ratio of destroys:lost is 1:7 or lower then you should be automatically kicked when you hit 7 losses and unable to return until the beginning of the next round. Sort of like moderation. Then if you miss the ratio again it should be two rounds, then kicked from that battle until after the server update when new battles come in and that one is deleted.

When joining you would be given a grace period to gain a foothold in the battle.

Only one problem...what about isidas? Their main role in a battle is to heal and it results in bad D/Ls. Also some players who are playing and trying to capture flags and and avoid killing while in enemy base to stay undetected can also have bad D/Ls as they take many shots at getting to enemy flag.

I'm sure the Devs thought of this already but rejected it for the above reasons.

But...if this is used with the old kick system to decrease the number of votes need to kick it would stop the problem of players kicking for no reason

This could apply to Isida's differently if stats to measure kills and healing against deaths. If an Isida Healed 3 people and killed 2, but died 10 times their H/D/L ratio would be 0.50, which would keep them from getting kicked!

It would be hard for wasp players, esp. in battles like Noise. Easy to cap flags but always dying :/

A lot of this comes down to tactics. I use hornet and most times manage to keep my D/L to a decent level....I think this would make a player think and play more carefully and tactically!

Re-introduce kick option is a good idea. Auto kick based d/l is obviously a bad idea, in particoular for nosupplies battle where isidas as very important. Old kick system was good, I don't understand why they removed it

H/D/L for Isida's is a bad idea?! I don't agree.

You can get a whole team to focus on the top player in the enemy team and to spawn kill him everysingle time,not caring about others and making his D/L lower then the requirement,kicking an innocent guy :x

Okay maybe so, but in a team battle this would be much harder than you think. Plus then it becomes an added strategy to game-play tactics, also an added option could be that once a player is below the D/L setting he gets a couple of minutes to get out of the situation before he gets kicked! 

 

Nothing is fool proof, but surely compared with the old system this is much fairer. Will add this "probation period" to the main topic

Yeah. It's a start though. I was just thinking like right up front what I could see wrong with it that could be adjusted.
