Conversations like this shouldn't be a problem, it's the people that say:

• I'm a girl.
• Who wants a gf?
• Who wants to date me?
• Who wants to......well, you get the idea. <_<

Sometimes, the people typing this aren't even girls!!!! :o

Yes, I often see random low rankers asking in the chat "any girls?" Or something like that. On Tanki, I don't think it's such a big problem, but it can lead to big problems, which is why I do suggest it gets dealt with before it grows to bigger issues.

PS Also, I highly recommend to watch a short video by Coby Persin called "The Danger of Social Media", both (boy and girl) editions. Just to get how big of a problem things like this can be.

I've been a tanker for Tanki Online for about 4-5 years and I've noticed how frequently the players talk with eachother about dating and random people asking for "boyfriends" and "girlfriends" and announcing they're gender in chat and whatnot. I find it extremely annoying that 50% of the players are using tanki as a dating website, it just really gets on my nerves. To stop this problem, do you think that it would be a good idea to ban the keywords:

 

Boyfriend

Dating

Girlfriend

Kiss

 

I think it would help with the problem (I think its a huge problem) and decrease the amount of players looking for GIRLFRIENDS and BOYFRIENDS on Tanki. (And Even Child Predators) >.>

Any Suggestions or ideas/comments or thoughts? Please put them down.

I have noticed this alot. Not really 50% of people but still alot of people. One weirdo pm me then invited me into a battle. Not that weird right? Wrong. So what? im playing tanki MUCH longer than you. im playing longer than this dude... i was 10? or 9 years old? and now im 16!

I have different accounts. I just get bored or destroyed them with buying useless stuff what i have never used, so i dont have enought crys to get something what i need. So when i found my combo, im ready to go to generalissimo and maybe, someday get XT :D

I dont think Tanki should ban those words you suggested, but there should be a limit as to how often you can use those words and the context that you use them in.

 

Maybe someone could get offended or something if they had just recently broken up with someone or had a divorce and see other people in relationships and they could get really depressed.. you know what I'm saying? I don't like it either when two people that are apparently bf/gf start getting all smoochy-goochy in the chat, calling each other "honey-pies" and blah blah blah.It gets on my nerves especially when they ask if you can switch teams just so the two can be on the same team.

 

I totally agree with you, Tanki is not a dating site, but the chat rules do not restrict the use of those words, but again, excessive use of those words can be annoying to other players.
