Improved autobalancer

Recommended Posts

I played a game of Capture The Flag, first we were 3 persons,  2 on my team and 1 opponent, but the opponent disconnected, so there were only 2 players, both on the same team, we only had 3 more captures of the flag to end the game, easily done, but when the map were reset both off us were still on the same team, but only with the opposite color.

There is no fun in playing a game that have no challenge what so ever, so we both disconnected with large disappointment.

Similar thing happens on many maps where one team outnumbers the other with something like 2 to 1 or even 3 to 1, not even in a Mammoth thank you have a chance to defend yourself against 3 tanks that surrounds your spawn point and is ready to fire.

In maps with many players, like Berlin, it could be fine with missing at most 2 or 3 tanks, it makes it much harder for the outnumbered team to attack, but they have a chance to at least "hold the line" until reinforcement arrives (random person joins tam).

The easy solution is to add a button that lets you switch team without loosing too much of the battle funds.

or a "Switch to outnumbered team"-button, you may ask why anyone would switch to a loosing team?

A reason could be to get 5-10 crystals for making the "sacrifice" that will make the game balanced again.

Alright, so you're saying in bigger maps, it's alright to be losing a couple of players as you can still hold off enemy fire until reinforcements arrive. However, in smaller maps it's extremely tough as every tank matters. I can't agree more. Perfect.

However, you said problem was when the battle restarted, everyone's score was at 0, and nobody was on the opposing team. Also, you could switch teams without losing too much of the score, implying that you do sacrifice an amount.

The problem I have is that the reason you suggest in the end features a person gaining 5-10 crystals, BUT losing a spot on the all-star winning team, so they could be on the losing team, which is losing for a reason. The age of x3 Mad Drugging is gone, and Overpowered Kits are getting fixed. So rapid take-overs aren't going to be as effective/common as before. Like I said, the team is losing for a reason, and this idea will be applies to all battles, would it be skill, rank, equipment, team number, or all of the above. So will anyone use it, and will it be a big benefit to the game? I personally don't think so.

Also, will you mind clearing up the portion of your post saying you sacrifice a portion of your score, and that someone gains 5-10 crystals? It's pretty much the opposite, Lol.

A simple solution to the initial problem would be one person exiting the battle and joining the other team, since it was 2 vs. 0.

After all, it is practically the same thing. I don't think a person who isn't willing to leave the game, and join the other team in a 2 vs. 0 will do the same thing. It's the mind set of 2 vs. 1, you get the advantage of taking over fast and getting a head start in wins and somewhat securing your win in battle.
