Can I just say that spec mode won't NECESSARILY make the video better. Anyone can fly a camera using left right forwards and backwards. Just a note.

If it realy doenst make it look better.. then why use it ?????

If getting a spectator can increase your videos' quality to the level of the winner, I will give you the spectator and 100,000 crystals when I see the clip :D

well i think specator mode will surely help. i'm not saying getting it would make me sad :D

 

i'm waiting for some other contests like this, maybe on predicable drops? i will surely partecipate again... a fully micro-upgraded combo is what i dream for

Marine and goldrock didn't show how they survived one minute did they? or show how they killed 60 tanks in a TDM, did they? They skipped parts, maybe they died between these skipped parts. Sounds like cheating when you are skipping between attacks and defenses, well?

Why does staff participate in contests? I mean come on you already get way more than other players. Let them have something.

 

I see this contest was not about the tutorial, cause only the "big names" got the prizes no matter how off track and off topic they were. This tutorial was about supplys but somehow players who talked mostly about tanks and paints won. Also my vid was watched 0:49 at most in Russia so idk what to say about the jury. Anyways got spit in the face again thanks for that.

First of all, congratulations to all those who won consolation prizes, and even to most players who entered. I personally thought that the general standard of entries was amazingly good!

 

Just to clear it up, I was not the only entrant to use Spectator mode. I would think this mode does not 'guarantee victory' - it depends on how you use it, just as it depends on how you use top-quality video recording software. Of course, it's useful for boosting the quality of your entry, but it's only as good as the entrant is, in the end - it doesn't suddenly give me or anyone else any magical powers. Many top Tanki Youtubers now have it, as it's something ordinary players can have too if they prove they deserve it. In my view, it seems that those entries here which won something were all really good, and I support the idea of giving everyone who won a prize Spectator mode! Would be really awesome to see what you guys can do with it, IMO.

 

Also, I absolutely did not win 'just because I'm staff'. The developers made the decision, and trust me, they aren't biased towards us. Like most, I have lost contests many more times than I have won them. Players say this time and time again whenever staff members do well in a contest, and this really isn't true. I wouldn't mind at all if the developers always let staff win, but this isn't the case, unfortunately for me! :lol:

Semyon already cleared this up soon after the competition started - the videos do not have to show the entire completing of the dares, just how to do it. This is how the videos could be 5 minutes long, and this is why many great entries also used the best bits of the action :)

 

Also, just to point out, blaming other people or other factors is not the way forward for success. Everyone can blame a whole variety of factors for things which happen in the end, but for me, the better thing to do is to offer a congratulations and leave it there. Criticising and claiming unfairness doesn't suddenly make you a successful winner - only hard work, and trying and trying again, can do that. If you think the system is unfair in our community, then no-one is forcing you to enter these contests - this doesn't mean we should forget about the values of respect and good sportsmanship.

 

Anyway, congrats to all those who won something once more, and thanks to Marine for being an awesome partner for this :P

Contest FAQ

 

Doing the 3 challenges will take at least 10-15 minutes. And the video should be no longer than 5 minutes? How?

As it says in the rules, your task is NOT to overcome the challenges. Your task is to make a tutorial showing HOW to overcome the challenges.

This means you don't need to show the complete process. You can, and NEED TO, edit the footage. Pay attention to key things, where to enable specific supplies, how to behave. Pay attention to the tactics. Do not show the whole process. Show tips on how to use supplies to achieve each of the 3 goals. Then, 5 minutes is more than enough.

 

Do I need to talk in the video?

Yes, you do. The contest implies making a tutorial video with commentary.

 

Can I record the commentary in other languages than English?

No. Sorry, but you can't. We only accept tutorials with English commentary.

 

Do I need to overcome one of the 3 challenges, or all of them?

As it says in the rules, you need to make a tutorial showing how to overcome ALL of the dares.

 

By the 40 kills in a TDM thing do you mean get 40 kills by yourself or as a team?

You need to tell other tankers in the video how to get 40 kills in 5 minutes by yourself.

 

What do I need to do in the CTF challenge?

You need to show in your tutorial how to deliver a flag for each of 2 bases on one of given maps.

 

What about the video quality and the audio quality? Will that matter?

Yes, it will. Video and audio quality is an important aspect when evaluating a tutorial.

Great one, nice job n...s! Read rules before you give last version of results who won! n....s here was one other word, but i don't want to be unpleasant! Thank you. Nobody met three challenges and explained how to use them wisely supplies or essential decisions of judges, I do not need crystals nor grieve for them, but I'd rather not embarrass yourself when you're at the results.
