Solution for railgun

After the buff of fast tanks, more and more people are playing them, which has indirectly buffed the railgun. This means more one shot kills for that railgun. Instead of nerfing the gun, I suggest we add a new gun in the game which is specifically designed to kill them.

 

I propose that we add a gun which has a damage per shot which can take down the fast tanks in two hits, a fire rate which keeps it from being overpowered and since every gun in the game has something special about it, such as the lucky hit of the smokey, we include massive knock-back. The reason for this is because you can see when railguns are about to shoot. And the best defence against them is to shoot first and hope they miss. With this gun, you'll be able to hit them and almost guarantee they'll miss you.

 

The massive knock back should be able to push tanks back, sometimes flipping them over or pushing them off tall structures. It will send tanks going through mid-air flying and the most popular combo of the railgun; the hornet will sh*t itself every time it sees one of these guys.

 

So, what do you think of it? I would love to know what you guys think.

Your idea is very extreme. TOO extreme. I would prefer nerfing the gun over adding something as broken and overpowered as this. It would be like a permanent version of Smoky XT, and from what I recall, Smoky XT was already planned for being only temporary, right? TO wouldn't keep something broken in game permanently.

 

Though of course does Railgun truly need a nerf? Where are those people who keep squealing about Prodigy paints? There are those who yell that it's overpowered, and those who cry about the Prodigy paints. . . Hmmm.

 

 For the gun itself, I think giving it a massive knockback and two shots will be overpowered. To me, it sounds exactly like a Railgun with no reload AND two clips.

And may I correct you, with ANY gun that has recoil (Shaft, Railgun, Thunder, Smoky, Ricochet, Twins,) you'll be able to unbalance a charging Railgun. And with Shaft's arcade shot, it will be easier than ever. So this ability is not unique to this turret you suggest.

 

Sending tanks flying through mid-air? Not even Railgun can do that. The knockback is overpowered. Unless you're only applying this to Wasp/Hornet, but even still, that would be Overpowered.

 

Overall you can guess what I think about it - Overpowered, just like the majority of the other hull/turret ideas I've seen posted spammed across these forums.

How about giving it the same reload as the rail but a damage per shot that will take 3 hits to kill a vking/hunter
