ok so i am finally upgrading to a smartphone and it says it comes with 4g lte. also, my dad said that i will have '1 GB of data per month'. but i dont know what that means. does "data" include downloading apps and music, or does it only include things i do through the 4g network?

Weird .dont even know what is data ,how old are you ?? @_@

2G,3G,4G are types of networking internets 2G is damm slow ,3G is better ,4G is high speed Internet

And data plan mean if u choose 1Gb you can only use 1Gb data for browsing ,after complition of 1Gb your internet will be stoped .You need to choose unlimited data plans

I think you now you know what is data

have a nice day bye

The things you download; sites you visit, movies you watch on youtube, apps and music downloading are all 'mobile data usage'

once you do those things trough your 4g network.

You can do them on wifi too though; so the MB's won't be taken from your 1GB mobile subscription.

Stuff like downloading apps, watching youtube take up the most MB's so it's a good thing you should check your amount of MB you've left on your subscription daily.

I've vodafone, Vodafone has an app where you can view how many MB's there are left in your data.

I'm pretty sure every provider has a similar app, if not there can be a function like this on your smartphone too... but those can differ from your actual data usage.

So if I turn off 4G I can download as many apps as I want through wifi?

Yeah, true... there should be a wifi signal icon on the top of your screen when wifi is turned on.

Same thing for mobile data, but if you really want to make sure whether of those two are en - or disabled, you can always check your wireless and network settings.

1 GB for a month?

If you have unlimited wifi/4G data plan you can download as many apps you want.

If you use social apps like facebook, twitter, viber etc then 1GB volume is very less(for both wifi and 4G) because on android and iPhone some apps keep using data even if you don't use them.

True, but only when mobile data is on; you can adjust settings for that so the apps need your permission to use data.

1GB is quite good per month, I've the same amount... the only things I don't do trough mobile data is watching youtube, or updating my apps trough it.

ok thanks you can close this thread now (if u have those powers)

You're welcome  ;)

I don't have those powers, but I'll forward it to the forum moderators.
