Buying M2 without Buying M1

Can we but M2 turrets and hulls without first purchasing M1 of the same. Question applies both for individual upgardes as well as product kits.

For example, if we purchase a product kit which has M2 mammoth, but currently the garage has M0, will the mammoth hull directly jump from M0 to M2

Yes if you buy a kit it will skip.

In the case for product kits, you'll directly jump to the modification the kits shows you. As for your example, Yes, your Mammoth will directly jump from M0 to M2.

But, if you choose to buy them individually (Not from kit), then you simply can't jump/skip modifications. You have to get all the previous ones in order to get the new one.
