Micro upgrades better discounts

I have an idea on how we can improve microupgrades and make them a bit more worthwhile. In my opinion microupgrading is too expensive. Just 1 parameter can cost up to 70000 crystals on m2 modifications only for a 30% discount so my idea was that if for example you upgrade a parameter halfway and the full discount is 30% than you would get a 15 % discount .

 

This does not apply only halfway. As long as you upgrade some of the parameters you will always get some sort of discount,(example below) of course the more you upgrade the parameter the bigger the discount. This might make microupgrading more usefull than just improving your turret or hull and might make players microupgrade more often. So what do you guys think?

 

All of the above does not apply to M3 .

 

Example: Firebird Damage 8/25 fully upgraded discount: 25% current discount: 8%
