First of all, hope you enjoyed the quest, and although many got the right answer, they couldn't justify it with a correct explanation or were simply not fast enough.

 

The first clue, 'the sound of the storm, let's discuss that first', will lead you to the topic 'Let's Discuss Thunder', in the Gameplay section. What follows thunder is of course lightning, and checking for posts around 31st october 2013, you will find the following post:

The clue directs you to read 'yrevocsidtx1' backwards as '1xtdiscovery', which, if you use the forum search for 'XT discovery' will lead you to the following article by Tommy60:

Highlighted in green at the bottom of the article directs you to look through the comments for a spoiler, which can be found on a post in the second page:

'Doing the opposite' of 'stupid clues have warmed you up' directs you to the topic of Smart Cooldowns. And of course, 'writes Kirby' is a hint to an article that I wrote in Issue 27:

The price word is a name of a map, and if you have been alert, you can see the yellow parts of the previous clues 'is', 'la' and 'nd', come together to give the name of the map Island, which is the winning word.
