I think they are still busy with tuning the matchmaking and the balance :p

I had this same idea before and was considering posting it here, but then realized that is had flaws.

 

* Developers will have to come up with 20+ different designs which can take a very long time.

 

* If they're upgrade to an M5 then they're probably going to cost more than a million to do so, something that barely anyone but a heavy buyer can perform (like drones)------> that means more pay to win features. Otherwise if they're not upgradable then they're useless.

 

* That still won't solve the problem of not knowing whether an M3 is upgraded to 1/20 or 19/20, it'll only be another bragging feature for buyers just like most of these recent updates.

 

 

That's why I don't think they're a good idea... but who know? Maybe devs are considering these despite the drawbacks.

I think this would be a cool idea considering you can’t tell the difference by looks from an m3 and an m4.
