Should Teaming Be Allowed?

I started this discussion because usually when I team with someone, someone tells me that I shouldn't. What I would like to say clear off the top is that I'm not trying to say teaming as in "helping the opposite team" (Pushing your team-mate off the side so they won't capture the flag, helping the other team kill members of your team etc.), because that is clearly stated in the Tanki Online Rules.

What I am trying to figure out here is if you can simply team with someone by not destroying that person, and they do the same back to you.

I would say that it's perfectly allowed. Why? Because let's say a tanker on the blue team has Railgun equipped and isn't fully loaded yet. Then he or she passes a tanker on the red team but still isn't loaded, so therefore he/she can't shoot (simple logic). So what's the difference if he/she is loaded or not, in both cases he/she isn't shooting the other tank.

UP TO THIS POINT WE SAY TEAMING IS ALLOWED.

But there is one problem... In CTF (Capture The Flag) Let's say a tanker from the blue team is carrying the red flag and a tanker from the red team spots the blue tanker with the red flag, but now let's say both these tankers are teamed, and since he/she is teamed with the tanker with red flag, he/she can't shoot and destroy him/her. So until now, teaming wasn't hurting anyone, but now if he/she doesn't shoot the tanker with the flag, he/she might capture it and that effects the whole team. So now we have a problem.

UP TO THIS POINT WE HAVE A PROBLEM WITH TEAMING.

But there is a simple answer to this. Make it that you can't shoot the tanker yu're teaming with, but when that tanker is holding the flag, then you are able to shoot him/her.

But now I have a question that I have no answer to, so therefore, I want you, the reader to try and give me an answer. Right now we are saying that this kind of teaming is not hurting your team, but let's say that the person you are teamed with is destroying a member of your team. Now if you don't help you team mate out by destroying the person you're teamed with, then you effecting/hurting your own team.

I know I said I have no answer but I'll tell you what I meant by that in a bit. The only answer I can think of is, that there are two possibilities:

1. That you can team with someone in any mode (DM,CTF,TDM,CP), but when that tanker is destroying a member of your team (In any mode except one which we'll see in a minute) or capture a flag (in CTF) or capture point (in CP), then you're allowed to kill that person. This answer not a lot of people would like, including myself, because it can get a bit annoying in battle so let's see the second answer.
2. This answer is quite simple, teaming should be prohibited in every mode, except for DM (Death Match). Why? Because in DM, you aren't hurting anyone by teaming since there are no real teams anyhow.

But now I'll explain to you why I said I didn't have an answer. I said that because I meant I didn't have a good answer to why you can team in any mode without disturbing your own team at the same time. So I want you to think of answer and post it below!

I don't think any teaming with the other team in team games should be allowed, period.

 

You already have your own team, thats why you are playing CTF or some other team oriented game mode.

I understand your opinion, and that is true. But some people want to team, for sure at least once in their TO life. I don't think I've met anyone who has never teamed with anyone (accept famous people :P)

If someone has the desire to team with someone of the opposite team, they can go to a deathmatch, the only game mode where teaming is allowed.

That's what I said, I think that should be the rule... I just hope everyone would agree with that.

i saw that kind of things a lot in game,

 

sometimes a freeze passing by me and not freeze me, just blow a bit and drive away, generally, those are lower rank than me, and i can one shot kill them,

 

since they didn't hurt me, i choose to not kill him, and save my rail shot for stronger enemy,

 

of course, unless he is not carrying our team flag, i wont kill him, as I can focus on getting the flag instead of wasting my shot on low risk enemy, and save the shot for killing the flag sitter.

 

ok, Why did that freeze dont want to kill me,

 

I think,

 

1. he knows he can't kill me before i can kill him

2. he want to kill those easy to kill to get more score point/ xp points

3. he may just like to grab some crystal drops

4. he just want a friend of high rank.

 

it make sense since those low ranks need xp more, if he got killed or wasted time trying killing someone too strong, he better score more to kill some easy tanks.

 

if he knows his team is too weak, he may think better get more crystal drops than wasting time fighting for 0 crystal and got no xp.

Do you want an answer on why teaming isn't allowed? If so, then:

Teaming is CTF, TDM and CP isn't allowed for a simple reason, by doing that (teaming with the other side) you are lowering the chances of your team wining, and by that you are sabotaging, which isn't allowed, why? Because you are hurting your own team and damaging there win chance. And the game mode is called a "team mode" for a reason, you need to work as a team, defend your team members, help capture or kill, stopping others from capturing, the whole game mode depends on team work, if you team with the other side, then what is the point of playing a team mode? Just go play DMs where you can team up easily. Simple as that.

 

I recommend you to make your topics clearer, the title too. Your topic and title made it very hard to understand what you are saying, or what you are trying to get.

I won't close this until I get what you meant by this topic.

Definetely big problem is DM teams.

 

At last, i get angry, i equip shaft with double power and i nearly only kill teams!!! Massacre time!

Personally, I don't think I've ever seen anybody teaming in a team-based gamemode anyway (CTF, TDM, CP). As for DM, I'm not really concerned by people who team up; if anything, they are easier targets as they will often try to stick together.
