Predictable Drops are now live!

This is "literally" a Game Changer but at first and second look, I'm not feeling good about this. The cool downs update I liked immediately, quieting all the noob/drugger talk, but the 100, 50 and 20 crystal boxes are EXTREMELY ENCHANTING to most players and turning them into Crystal Zombies. That's my term, feel free to use it. Seriously, marking where what power up falls where is somewhat annoying as I think anyone playing the game for an hour or so figures out pretty quickly. Also, you've moved the power ups into new locations, which is a bit vexing, but there appears to be many more power ups all over the place. While I don't LOVE that change, the Crystal Boxes ARE Seriously and Negatively augmenting game play .  I'm not saying this to be a poopy pants, I love Tanki, I'm addicted to this game. Crystal Zombies are afoot and it's not as fun when one's team mates have lost their Bloody Minds to some Shiny Boxes offering Little Jerky Treats disguised as Crystals!!!   <_<

I don't like this, the original idea of just dropping at certain pads was good. However, the increasing lead mults to just wait for 100 crystal boxes. there is no way I can win a battle because everyone on my team is sat waiting. Remove the extra crystals, and the idea will be good.

The new update is not going down to well. There are a mults who wait for the 100 cry box to drop, however i dont think its as bad as people are making it out to be. I would say for every 5/6 games there is 1 game with a considerable amount of mults who JUST wait for crys. Bellow is how I - a player - would tackle this problem.

 

Problem - 

     Mults waiting for cry - not helping team.

 

What to do? - 

     Encourage players to actually play ( -_-)

 

Solution - 

     1st idea : Set a specific battle fund for 100 cry boxes to drop - they should do drop at every crystal area. After 100 cry boxes                        drop for the first time - they will not drop until the second set battle fund is reached ( I guess this can just keep on                          going). This will enable more people to get it and still carry on with he game. 

 

     2nd idea: Make 100 cry boxes only available in PRO battles, however for this to work - I believe the frequency of the box                              dropping will have to be increased. I like the 100 cry box for the thrill - dont really mind if the thrill comes at a price

                   of 500 cry!

 

These are my solutions to the current problem (will add more once a get more time to play)- give it a down vote if you dont like it and an up vote if you do! Its a pretty good update - with a bit of work I guess its disadvantages can be solved!

That's not the point.  The gameplay needs to be enhanced, not how many people you can kill or how many crystals you can collect.

To my opinion the game is ruined. Just crystal collectors fighting. there are no teams anymore. at least 5 or 6 will be sitting on the spot for the crystals. If this children ;s game continues i will consider a waste of money what i spend till now and never use the game again. simply ruines.

I'm low on crystals too but I still agree what you said which the only thing I will see in battles is that the tanks waiting for crystals will be too easy to target...... NEVER MIND THEM STANDING IN THE OPEN WAITING FOR CRYSTALS BOXES TO DROP! Yeah, make them silver boxes, when they drop in quicker than gold boxes and and longer than 10 cry boxes, it will be a better game changerthen usual

today is double fund so this thing may happen lets see tommorow and they reduced the crystal drops area also

So, you're basically saying that playing when double funds are on, is not so good.. right ? I normally would play hours and hours to collect as many as those small 10 crystals.. Like that in an hour 1000-1500 crystals. Today I played without knowing how it would be. And collected in one hour 2x100 crystals only. Then I quit. They drop very rare and everybody is sitting on the drop zones or waiting there to shoot each other when gold box drops.. ops my bad. I meant when 100 crystal boxes drop

 

Those 10 crystals are being gathered in air somewhere rather than dropping on the ground. Once they become 100, they unite and drop as gold box.. I wonder what is next.

 

Now double fund events don't seem so tempting

Now everyone camps for crystals and some people don't bother to play at all. BUT, earning crystals is now so much easier. I probably got like 5k in about an hour and a half (which is a record for me).

 

So... How many 100 crystal boxes have you guys manage to gather? :lol:

I don't need to repeat what the majority of players have complained about, it's all been said many times over by many players. That in itself tells you that something large steamy and very smelly has hit the fan. 

 

It seems that with this new update you are trying to promote a lack of team spirit and sportsmanship. Not to mention the drop in skill level of new players if this continues. None of which will serve Tanki or Starladder any good I'm sure.

 

We can only hope that you are not too proud to acknowledge, this massive steamy two tone of an update needs to be shoveled up and disposed of. The longer it sits there festering away, the more flies are going to land on it. Much in the same way that the Mults are surrounding the 100 crystal boxes. 

 

Please don't see this as a way to make more money by changing the colour of the crystal box to two tone brown and introducing a paint that looks like a fly.

Last battle I was in, 20 flags on map stadium, can you believe that I captured 18 out of 20? My team dominated the center but everyone was just waiting for crystal boxes, they only kill those who tried to snatch crystal boxes from them. I was the only one capturing and returning flags. When I die they don't even care about the enemy flag except for the 2 times when I died right in front of our flag. Worst update ever.

i don't like this update 'cause now, a mammoth take al the boxes...just stay close the area where they fall...it should be better if the found boxes fall in differen area during the battle but otherway...this is only my opinion

Lol, Tanki should create a new mode where people fight for crystals. At least, that would make it reasonable to camp for crystals. All other modes, the crystal boxes are the regular 10 crystal boxes. If you think this is a good idea, I'll go ahead and post it in Ideas & Suggestions.

Duh, everyone goes for the 100 cry box.

I just came back to tanki from a sad strick about 3 weeks. This is a great update, I was playing on Sandbox CTF with marshal and them lot ranks (highest rank was marshal) there wear a lot of smokys we won, when I came it was 2-1, when we finished battle it was 2-13. All time you go for a run to there base, I get double protection or speed boost on my way. Also those great sniper kits, love them. But not sure if to buy, sale come I buy them. Am poor right now. But will be rich soon.

Playing 2042 I watched a teammate who was chasing the flag carrier stop, turn around and collect a crys box while the opponent capped the flag. 

 

No doubt this thread will be filled with thousands such examples unless the Dev team locks the thread to prevent further negative feedback.

 

I think the general consensus is that this update SUCKS BIG TIME.  Quite possibly the worst update since I began playing in March. And people wonder why I now hardly ever play my main accounts.  What's the point? The gameplay went downhill instantly with this update.  I'd rather just play my noob accounts and go on a tank killing spree....no flags, no control points, just blowing crap up.

I refused to heal those just waiting for crystals and only healed those truly playing. I'm going for ctf's while they sit their defending their blue spots waiting for 100 to fall. It's a joke. In silence, I just drove up past a load of players who were waiting for the 100 to fall, I grabbed the flag and caputred. The meaning of the game has gone.

 

We need to return to the old scoring method. Those with the most points win most of the pot.

The 50 and 100 crystal boxes has totally destroyed the game play and the sooner it is removed, the better.  I played CTF today and nobody was bothered in getting the flag.  Every one was drugging up and climbing on top of one another just for a 50 or 100 crystal drop.  The temptation to do this for lower ranked players I suspect is going to be even worse.

 

I don't like the idea of the supplies being indicated either.  Players are just camping on those as well.

 

I think also that the gold drop being indicated is not a good Idea.  At least with the previous system it could give someone of lower rank a chance of being lucky and grabbing a gold box.  That was part of the fun of the gold box.  The chance that anyone could get it. Eg a wasp with nitro has no chance now.  Now we will see start seeing big fat mammoths all supplied up and camped on the gold drop zone.

 

Please remove this update as soon as possible.
