Crystal Boxes - Sabotaging?

Imo, it's just the hype from the new update. I'm pretty sure people will get bored of collecting soon and will actually start playing.

The sad part is that I don't think they will. They're actually earning a whole lot more crystals than most of the top winners of the battles. If you're on the losing side, why bother trying to get the flag for a few dozen crystals when you can nab 100 by sitting in a drop zone?

Soon the camping for crystals will die out and people will start playing normally again.

Every battle I go to, there are hardly any players camping for crystals.

I completely agree.

 

The new system has done the opposite of what it should've done. The predictable drops for the SUPPLIES are good, but predictable drops for the crystals, combined with the larger amount of crystals per box, has done exactly what I was afraid they would do. Now we have mini gold box wars over 50 and 100 crystals. People desert their teammates, leave their position, and waste their drugs to catch it. Half of your team doesn't even fight because they're camping near a drop point waiting for the crystals to fall.

 

On top of that, although buyers and good players might be making more crystals off the new system, noobs with M0 or M1 wasps and hornets don't stand a chance at catching the big boxes, or the small ones either for that matter. We used to have 10 crystal boxes worth 10 crystals each fall all over the map, so everyone could get their fair share, now we have one 100 crystal box fall in the middle. The guy that catches is 100 crystals richer, but what about everyone else? And the guy who caught it, probably didn't deserve it, as he was just camping nearby waiting for it to fall, and the guys who are workin' for the team, get shammed because they're too busy capturing flags.

I'd get a plane ticket to Perm, storm the Tanki HQ, and slap the sense into the developers on how FREAKING SEVERE THIS PROBLEM IS!!!

Well, I hope you were finally pleased with the recent update that removed crystal drop boxes. Now all of the crystals that would have fallen before, now get funneled into the battle fund, eliminating those crystal box hunters, and giving those who contribute to the battle most, a greater reward. :)

 

And despite how it may appear, there is a great number of players who enjoy the recent updates. Beyond that, these recent updates, just as with the past ones, further balance the game. Now over the years players have enjoyed some, hated others, or just been indifferent, but the bottom line is, some things just need to happen. Though an example of when the players obviously disliked an update and the developers took action upon is the, "Clans System Update", when all of the clans were shifted to Star Ladder. I hope no one thinks setting up that whole system was easy! It took the developers a good chunk of time and finances to set up all of that and have Star Ladder incorporate Tanki Online as a client. Though due to the response of players, the developers recalled the update.

 

Now in the future, the best way to convey your feedback to the developers is through an official topic. You may do so through either of these sections, for which topics will be posted with updates: The Video Blogs is a summary of the weeks events and updates, if any occurred. Whereas the Developers' News contains information ranging from sales and double funds, to game altering updates. :)
