You won't get crystals if you don't play. So to get 100 crystal boxes your entire team will need to kill a LOT of tanks, People are justing trying out the new update, those crystal boxes are worth druging for <3, dayyuum  :ph34r:

I agree with you ! Making drops like 100 crystal that going to make all players care about the drops only and forget teammates and work together , they all just coming for  drops and not helping teammates , ( its ok in deathmatch :P ) .

And there is anther " old " upgrade that until now still making the game worse , the upgrade when tanki online made battles able to add higher ranks and more lower ranks , so " all " matches now have high high ranks who beats all lower ranks , thats not fair , honestly this happens to me a lot that I come and not find good battle then join the best battle I can find and still there is that HIghest rank there with his M3 killing us all and drugging , its so rare to find a match only ranks so close to each other and not a lot HIGHER or LOWER , thats Unfair !!

Usually when I find matches that be close to each other rank , I play it more than 2 hours , it be so much fun cuz everyone same power ,

I wish Tanki could hear us .

Makes the game more strategic

Makes it easier to get crystals

It's fun with the gold box revamp.

It sucks because everyone guards crystal drop zones.

All people do is push you, kill you, or cuss you out if u are seeing a crystal box.

EVEN MY FREAKIN' TEAM MEMBERS PUSH ME!!!

SO tanki, fix this bull by making the high boxes RARE!

"I got 1235 crystals in 1 BATTLE!" says Player 2

"OH MY GOD did U GET A GOLD BOX?" says player 1?

"No, but the new update adds in 100 crystal boxes when battle fund is high. And I got 235 for my score, and 1000 from the update."

*In another room* Player 1 says "Screw this BULLSH*T

The thing that make people play games is to get better and open new stuff, but when the game be very easy and open stuff so fast then where is the fun ? but when the game is built on teamwork and skills , thats real fun , I respect your opinion but Trust me after playing time after time , you'll rage on your teammates who don't care about you and push you and sabotage you just to get the crystal drops and then you'll start hating on this game , :) NO thanks for reading ;p joke

honestly the different value crystal boxes is probably the best update they've put out. (in my opinion at least, don't sue me because my opinion isn't the same as yours.) especially for non buyers such as myself. the main issue is that the crystal drop areas are marked. giving players a clear spot on where to stay. if these areas weren't marked i don't think there would be THAT big of an issue.

The new crystal update turned out to be a lot more damaging to gameplay than I expected. People are now camping for crystal boxes, and they treat 100 crystal boxes like Gold Boxes. In a recent Rio CTF I was in, nearly a third of my team was neglecting the flag because they were so preoccupied with getting crystal boxes. We won in the end, but I had to expend a lot of supplies and effort to make up for my negligent teammates.

 

Predictable Drops itself is fine, but I think the crystal box update backfired spectacularly. I think it should be taken off of the servers for some tweaking first; the concept is fine, but it turns many players into multing campers.

    I was just going to make a topic about it myself but decided to search the forum as I'm sure there would be a few posts regarding this issue as it is such a big problem in the game. Every ctf or team game I go to, I see those people just waiting for the crystal boxes drugging with mammoths and not moving from there. Instead of going for the enemy flag or protecting your own, if they see a crystal box - they go for the crystal and then the flag because it's second priority for them. This might be a good idea for DM battles and not as bad there. Basically in CTF, you could report over 50% of players for sabotage as they wait in 1 spot or fight for that spot and all run for that crystal box instead of working as a team trying to win. 

    To fix this problem, I would suggest instead of just putting 100 crystal boxes only, at random times between the 100 crystal boxes you could spawn 1, 5, 10, and 50 crystal boxes as well. It would mean that the 100 crystal boxes would fall more rare but players would actually play the game more and 1 or 5 crystal boxes wouldn't be worth waiting at that spot.

Well they worked hard on this update, it dosen't have to go, they just have to amend it, but i think removing the predictable zones for all the crystal boxes (not including goldbox) will at least stop people from multing

Ever since the new predictable drops update (which also came with updated crystal boxes) everyone is now rushing for crystal boxes instead of actually playing the damn game. No one did this in the test server since everyone had a large amount of crystals but on the real servers... oh boy you should see it for yourself. When a 100 crystal box drops EVERYONE rushes for it. 75% of teams literally just wait at crystal box drop points for a crystal box to fall.

 

So, to me, there's a problem. Now there's a ton of mults and when a crystal box falls it sabotages the game (the gold box is fine because it's so rare). But now that crystal boxes are worth a lot more and the 100 crystal box is 1/10 of a gold box that can drop frequently, everyone has been racing for crystal boxes instead of playing.

 

This is a problem to me, I'm not sure if it is to you. I miss the old Tanki Online all the recent updates, especially this one, ruined the game in my opinion. Feel free to give me hate and/or dislike the thread. I made it to share my opinion and I'm sure there are a ton of people who are going to agree that this update and some other recent ones suck.

 

The purpose of the discussion on this thread is to share if you've been seeing this too and if you like it, dislike it, or even if you really care.

Imo, it's just the hype from the new update. I'm pretty sure people will get bored of collecting soon and will actually start playing.
