So they change it so boxes stay then next day they get rid of it. I do think having it in battle fund is better but I really wish they would design this game a certain way and stick with it. I much prefer tanki 1 year old where when your a high rank you do well in battles with lower ranks now lower ranks can just do exactly the same as someone that has played for years and it takes the mickey i think sort it out tanki online it's about time the higher ranks had spremecy in the game again.,

I hope that is just an experiment ,otherwise you will have to remove the battle  FUND ,because all players will fight only for it. <_< . So,there will be more drugged player. :angry:

I don't have time to read over 30 pages of comments, so if this have been commented somewhere, it's probably not so bad a comment and otherwise I'm sorry for the double writing/reading :-)

 

So the comment: In the old system with 10 crystal boxes somebody very seldom destroyed the game only picking boxes - this behavior changed quite a lot with the new crystal boxes, having a negative influence on the gaming. Bringing back the old 10 crystal boxes should solve this negative behavior. Taking away all the crystal boxes and adding the value to battle fund will make it very little prosperous in CTF games if you don't get any flags and also wont get any crystals at all during the game. It will also increase he number of cases of the bad behavior trying to prevent somebody to bring the flag home. All in all at least I am in favor of bringing back the old 10 crystal boxes, as it will decrease tension between player's because everybody can get something in the game. Whether or not to mark the drop zones for the crystals is not a crucial point, at least for the me.

 

Regarding the gold boxes I'm hear clearly in favor of not dropping the gold box at once, when it has been announced. The delay of 30-90 sec was okay as you then still could participate in the hunt, even though you where tilted as the announcement came.

 

In general the idea of marking the drop zones for the drugs is okay, it can (and probably will if you've been playing a while) bring in a tactical aspect, but the crystal changes should have been left out - they have only added confusion and bad behavior changes.

 

Thanks for the possibility to comment this, it's great that you give us players an opportunity to come with our opinion.

I will say Keep the crystal drops like earlier one without any prediction and same for gold fall.

That will keep game more fun

Also will say this update might be good for higher ranks but not for smaller ranks or newbies

So you need to think about all players not just for higher ranks

Just bring the old system back..... ;)

^_^ I think this is a great way to award crystals. I have been on Tanki for three months now and being on the losing team because half of my team mates are sitting on drop spots would sicken me. Predictable drops only worsened the situation. We play this game not just to upgrade our tanks but also to fight and hopefully win battles. I would like to see a few random drops of crystals just to make things a little more interesting in those 999 battles, but all in all this new method will keep players in the game and if they leave early, well, more points for the rest of us!

Collecting crystal boxes has been a part of Tanki Online from its earliest stages. However, it didn’t affect gameplay that much – boxes contained a modest number of crystals and collecting them wasn’t worth the time and effort. Plus, they would disappear over time. When developing the new drop box logics, we modeled crystal drops after supply boxes, without assuming that it would escalate the situation. The open testing didn’t unravel this problem either, as each account there had more than enough crystals so there was no reason to collect crystal drops. On release day, we thought that the complaints of tankers were caused due to doubled battle funds, which result in a larger number of crystals in drops.

 

However, we’ve recently changed our attitude towards feedback. We’ve started assessing and analyzing constructive feedback in the forum, counting positive and negative replies, and monitoring battle chats. This has helped us identify where the real problem lies. And we thank you for that!

 

That is why, as of today we’ve removed crystal boxes from the game as an experiment. Crystals that would have dropped in boxes, will instead be added to the battle fund as many of you suggested. Gold boxes are dropped right after the notification, so as not to distract players from teamplay, and give everybody a shot at catching the gold. The experiment will be on until next week. We will then specify our next steps.

 

Enter the game, take part in battles and make sure you tell us your impressions below. Any solution can be improved, and your feedback will help us do that!

The dropped crystals are the chance for the weaker tankist to enjoy the game.

Good but bad update, this means more gold more often but harder for new players to get crystals, sometimes i just like hunting crystal boxes when i get bored, but when i actually want to play it means more competition for more crystals, they should make it an option, like when you make a battle it has the options, that way you can be happy either way!
