Join the experiment with crystal drops

A lot has already been said, some say it is good with crystal drops and some say without cry drops, so what to do? I would say let players decide how they want to play their battles. Now the question is HOW? Maybe add an option to normal battles to enable crystal drops or disable them, obvioulsy with the old 10 cry boxes (those predictable drops just ruined the game). What do you think about this guys?

I wonder if those devs would see my little comment..!!

Sadly, I am not in favor of this change. Before, players were able to move and get crystals at the same time, which for lower levels is critical. However, if we focus on movement the change decreases it because no more are the days of charging for crystals or navigating maps in hopes of gathering them. There is also no longer an incentive to move, which leads to fewer kills (also due to not being able to use those crystals as bait), and many more CTF games. I enjoyed being able to enter any battle knowing that I had a chance to get crystals, and knowing that I could use them to bait people. Overall, I think it will lead to a decrease in activity and an increase in frustration among lower level players.

This is just crap. I enjoyed how it was but the player amount will start to drop because these no crystal is annoying because some people will only be able to play tanki for a short while and might not be able to finish a battle. I'm really annoyed at the developers  :angry: . Bring back gem boxes but the gold box there should be 2-3 no drop idea is crappy. Only thing I liked was the increase in battle fund.

This new rule is very bad if i want play just a little because i have short time i can't catch money please return back in the previous way...

I can't do any crystal maybe i leave this game because i can't build good tank

Well i don't think this update is fair on a lot of tankers. There are many players that have poor internet connection so this experiment could cause problems for example.... say i play a match that is about 40 minutes long, when the battle is nearly over i lose connection to the game which can make most of them upset and dissapointed. This is because they played really hard to earn loads of crystals and all that becomes nothing when u lose connection. In my opinion i think u should add the crystal boxes back so at least every tanker who joins a battle can get some crystals instead of waiting for the battle to finish. Also crystal boxes have been part of the game for a very long time so it doesn't feel right to just take it out of the game just like that, and i know a lot of guys agree with me on that. I know people are saying "crystal boxes are just a distraction" then just simply ignore the crystal boxes if u know it will distract u from the game. It takes skill to do that and if u can't do that u probably need to practise on ur skill. 

 

I'm not really sure but i think u should decrease the amount of crystals in a crystal box because after the crystal update, they were a huge distraction. About 2-3 days ago i played my first match with the predictable drops and the first thing i noticed is that people were going after the 100 crystal boxes as if it were a Gold Box. I think it's better to stick with the 10 boxes for less distraction. :D

 

In my opinion about the Gold Box change i think u should leave it at how it was when the Predictable Drops was introduced. Even though it can distract u from the gameplay, it's only from 30 to 90 second so it is doesn't take that long. Well that's what i have to say about it.

BTW thumbs up for the Pred. Drops update!! :D

TANKI seriously this is seriously is not helping, i have the following suggestions which in my opinion would make this game much better to many players like me;

 
1) Remove all the predictable gem box zones, but keep the drop zones for supplies. This way the gem boxes are not a distraction to players. Possibly revert back to just ordinary 10 gem boxes.
 
2) Also, the Gold box should drop at a particular battle fund (every 1000 gems would be ideal), and would allow the player to consistently focus on the battle, without the predictable Gold box drop zone.
 
3) The best update for gem boxes, would be adding a ( bronze box=100, Silver box=500), helps low rank players like me to have more experience of catching these boxes.

  • Make the GOLD box drop from higher height, so more time to get them and attracts more players to go after it ( like the one in stadium map)
  • Bronze box = more likely             Silver box = likely      Gold box = less likely (chances of it dropping) 

4) Finally, in terms of splitting the battle fund, the person on the loosing team could have a score of 4000 + and receive 0 gems. Just to make it fair the person who received the highest score out of everyone in the team should be rewarded

  • A special reward, not gems - but a few supplies would encourage loosing team members to play without changing their battle.

5) This might not be possible, but if you make a profile which shows achievements ( the best idea ever!!!)  :o 

  • For example there are 3 tiers for each achievement - ( 1,2, 3 Stars)
  • ​Achievement name : Destroyer
  • One star = 5000 kills (100 gems )  :mellow:   two stars= 50, 000 kills (1000)  B)   three stars = 1,000,000 kills (10,000 gems)    :rolleyes: !!!!
  • And the same for other achievements such as;
  •  
  • ​capturing flags ( 100 captures) etc
  • Scorer ( score 5000 in one match) etc.
  • Average ( D/L) rate - the higher= more reward......

TO is poor they whant us to buy crystal with money ther are better game then this who doesnt stell our money  :wacko:

i don't think they want to steal our money because in the Video log they said that we gave them the idea to do that. So the guys who said that are probably tankers who play tanki hours a day and complete every match they join.

I think that removing the crystal box's takes away a big part of the game. For example say that i'm in a 50 flag battle and I play for the whole game and i'm in first place of my team and we lose i'm not going to get the amount of crystals for the amount of time I spent in the battle.So if the crystal box's would be in the game even if you lose a battle you will still get a decent amount of crystals from collecting the box's.Also say that if I played in a battle for a long time and I have a high score but I have to leave for whatever reason I will not get any crystals fro that battle. So I think that you should keep the crystal box's.

Stupid Experiment I was playing polygon CP 500,And I was first,Funds was over 20k and my team was winning and In Middle I've to go somewhere I wasted my 3 hours + Got 0 crystals. -_-

You should bring back cry box  again :(

We are wasting time + If we lose we get very less crystals.

I really think no crystal boxes in team games, are really great. It creates a fair and equitable gameplay for all. This problem of quelling non-participation in team games, whether it be TDM, or CTF is long overdue. The games are now more competitive, thus enjoyable. 

 

If there is any compromise here, I think we should direct this conflict of interest to DM games. I would have no problem with crystal boxes falling in DM games. However, looking at this scenario from an economical perspective. The 20, 50 and 100 boxes are too much. After time, this could cause the price of garage items to sky rocket, leaving those with little or no funds in a no win situation. Let's not forget. The hallmark of this game is "Play for Free". It's what separates it from other games.

 

Tanki is not in the business of taking advantage of it's membership, as some would put it, "They want to force us to buy more crystals", but in that same light, it has to stay in business so this game will be obtainable for those less fortunate members of our society. 

 

Conclusively, I think most people would agree that crystal boxes have ruined team related games. If any compromise be made. Let the crystal boxes fall in DM.

 

P.S. If there are any grammatical errors such as misspelling etc. Please excuse, I typed this in a hurry "scary dog" has to go for his morning walk... :)

i heard not alot of people like it and i dont like it either some people dont get kills  and they still dont get crystals

if people dont get kills then no get crystals at all. u win and get crystals.

 

too many players want crystals for nothing.

 

Next 0 flag team on CTF will be demanding a share of the crystals.

I just thought of an easy to implement and maybe even elegant idea to solve one of the biggest issues you keep

reading in many posts.

 

That big issue is that the loosing team gets to little of the battlefund. If you are really unlucky and

your team captures no flag at all you even get zero. No matter how hard and long, you and your

team may have fought.

 

My idea: why not start every CTF, with at least one flag for both teams?

So the first flag is already given by Tanki just by creating a CTF. The creator of a battle can 't change this.

If you play longer CTF 's with more flags to capture, both teams will start with even more flags.

 

It could look like this:

 

CTF of 1 to 5 flags: already one flag is given

CTF till 10 flags: already two flags are given

CTF till 20 flags: already three flags are given

etc.

 

This way you will always enter a CTF with the certainty you will never leave without crystals.

It will also mean that a loosing team has more chance that the players will stay till the end of the battle.

 

And also that more players will be willing to join a loosing team, ofcourse to try to win the battle,

but with no success they still will be getting crystals.

 

 

 

A. The losing team gets a bigger share of the crystal fund. Something like ALWAYS a minimum of 10 or 20 percent.

Even when the loosing team ends up with capturing zero flags themselves, they still get 10 or 20 percent

of the total battlefund because there were already some flags given a beforehand: ^ read the green lines above.

This will prevent players from leaving!

Players that stay will contribute to the total battlefund, so this is another benefit for both teams.

 

B. Crystal boxes of 10 (same as it used to be) till the rank of Warrant Officer 5.

Above Warrant Officer 5 ( the rank where the first M2 equipment appears) no more crystal boxes at all.

Starting from WO5 and above this will discourage crystal multing (simply by being not possible anymore),

and this will also encourage team participation in TDM and CTF.

 

C. The Goldbox should have a (very) short relay time.

It 's unfair if a Goldbox falls during a respawn or if you are in a really bad spot.

10 or 15 seconds won 't distract too much of the game that 's going on and will give anyone a fairer chance of

catching it.

press p for 5 minutes away from game - if you already know that - then plan better -

 

Of course if you  lose you should get very less crystals.  What do you want - equal crystals for all - nice

Teams with 0 flags are full of campers tanks that have'nt got engines.

As you see in the screen shot

I got top score with 371 points but being on the losing team with zero flags I got zero crystals per normal.

The leading winning team tanker got 291 points and 226 crystals.

 

This shows the bigger problem is that after battling for 20 minutes and winning TOP SCORE - I then get ZERO crystals!

In this case a very good defence from a Freeze and supporters kept stopping most of my flag collections.

The end result is there was not much benefit in fighting on the losing team - this is why so many tankers leave a losing game.

My suggestion is we keep the existing battle fund share as is - this seems fair to me.

We then add the rule that ALL tankers get 5 CRYSTALS for every 10 POINTS scored and this is given IMMEDIATELY.

The reason it has to be given immediately is that if we have to leave a battle for various reasons: called away, 'fatal error' etc. then we still get to keep something and hence, makes it worth fighting on a losing team.

This also suits those 100 flag battles where you cannot stay all the way to the end.

 

In the example attached:

I would have got 170 crystals + 0 battle fund - which is not too bad.

The top tanker on the winning team would have got 145 + 226 = 371  - so they are happy too!

 

Without making this change:

What happens in practice is most tankers give up on losing battles and go and find a winning side.

This has further effects when joining the winning team - many times the losing team just quits - so we all lose :0(

The best matches I find are where I join a 'slightly' losing team and convert it into a winning team with a bit of effort - this works because the team that was winning usually tries harder and we get a good battle to the end.

 

Another suggestion with re-instating the crystal drop boxes is to drop them only in a batch every 10 mins.

This way we can all have a 'feeding frenzy' for a few minutes and then carry on the battle.

I.e. no point in wasting time 'camping' on blue drop zones.

 

Gold boxes should be given a 20 second warning and 50% of them should be dropped randomly anywhere and without any notice - gives me more chance to get one!
