Join the experiment with crystal drops

I like the fact the cry are apart of the battle fund, it got rid of the cry hunters, who are useless in a battle, and makes them actually have to finish one, but as far as the gold box, it drops way to fast, you pretty much have to be right there to even get one, and i also noticed that health boxes are few and far in between, and in a lot of places where i know they used to drop, they don't even drop anymore, that stinks bigtime!

:D the update is great. i like how the crystal boxes just go straight to the battle fund since i never collected them anyways. Now it requires skill to get crystals instead of people just waiting for them to drop and collecting them. I definitely like how the gold drops much more now.

DISLIKE FOR THE NEW UPDATE !

 

OMG The new update drive the people crazy! NOW you have to play all the game until you get your crystals the gold is only for lucky players it's

 

just boring !! we want (100,50,20,etc.) back it was amazing LMFAO

I like the concept of the experiment, but I think it brings to the forefront some issues with the scoring structure. Most critically in the team environment.

 

In the single player environment, it seems ok that the crystal drops are divided based on your score. You are in control of your own game and no whether you suck or not and what you should expect to see as a result.

 

I think in a team game this falls flat, as in much of the other team scoring. If I play well on a team with zero score, I see no benefit whatsoever and only the dominant team sees a gain. I cannot control the performance of my team, therefore I should not be bogged down because of that fact. Perhaps you can rank ALL players and reward the dropped crystal portion based on overall score, or even by some other way. Some way which benefits players who are on a losing team and still have played well....especially in cases when a team gets zero.

 

Generally speaking the scoring structure should be re-reviewed. I think most players would be open to more experiments such as this, we can at least see there is a development attempt at dealing with issues we see day to day. It may not solve the problem, but helps us see that you are working toward something greater.

This new update is good but still there is some issues

the team who worked hard get crystals based on his xp in battle

but what happened to the losing team

first what is the cause of defeats?

low skill or low rank equipment or bad team working or bad luck

so the player who lose get xp and ranking up and have to play with tougher opponents

i have suggestion to prevent such a thing

if there was an ability to lock your xp bar by your own choice to preventing ranking up

u can still work hard an get the crystals and whenever u feel u r ready to rank up you open ur xp bar and ranking up

for example

u r warrent officer 4 and dont wanna to rank up u lock ur xp bar

then u participate in battles without ranking up still u get the crystals but your battle xp wont add to your overall xp bar until u open ur xp bar whenever you r ready to be warrent 5

or u can creat limited time like pro pass somthing like xp freez pass for one week or one month and we can cancel it

whenever we want

REMOVE THIS UPDATE!!!!!

And the one before this, I, personally, hate this update and the one before this one, as when I needed a few more gems for an upgrade, I would change to a hornet and go gem hunting, and this one, my "team mates" go against me and try to steal my kills, by either preventing me from shooting clearly, or shooting people that I was about to finish off.

i like the update and it has really made the battle a lot better. The only problem is that the gold box drops way to early. its unfair for snipers who are out on the edge of the map. i am one. so can you bring back the normal gold box functions?

Pro:

Team play in even games are more focused than before.

This benefits team games that are pretty even, meaning, both teams (still) have a realistic chance to win the game.

 

Contra:

In team games where one team does not have a realistic chance to win the game anymore, players of the trailing team may leave the game early.  Members of the leading team are left with the time wasting task to wait until the time limit is reached (CP and team DM with time limit), or wasting time to move around to find the few remaining team members of the trailing team (team DM with kill limit only). In the past, the trailing  team can still get some Crystals boxes, thus are tempted to stay longer in the game.

 

There is a shift of effectiveness from short range weapons to long range ones. The severalty of this shift depends much on the map type. Crystal boxes, especially when they fall in great numbers in close proximity simultaneously, cause many players to fight in the vicinity of the Crystal boxes. This favors short range weapons. To keep a good balance between short range and long range weapons in each game increases the intensity of fighting. And this is what distinguishes Tanki from other games. If more and more people switch to long range weapons, Tanki moves to the direction of a sniping game, and thus become much less attractive.

 

Different roles especially in DM games:

Falling Crystals add to the variety of roles that peoples can adopt in DM games.

The more skillful and/ or better equipped players tend to focus on the battle fund.

The less skillful players and/ or players with inferior equipment tend to focus on Crystal boxes.

This combination adds to the intensity of fighting. If everyone moves into hiding after each shot, the waiting time between two shots will increase significantly. Certainly, the opportunity to shoot a lot at different opponents within a short time distinguishes Tanki from other games that have better graphics/ strategic setup/ tactical variety. Tanki was, up to this update, a Fight! (now) game.

 

(Slightly off topic comment:  aggregating  ten 10-Crystal boxes to one 100-Crytal box has a negative effect on players’ satisfaction.  If I get 4 out of ten 10-Crystal-boxes, I am happy. If I get zero, I am unhappy. To get more players happy, Crystal boxes should stay in smaller denominations, e.g. 10 for lower ranks, 20 mid ranks, 30 higher ranks, but fall simultaneously in greater numbers).

Just remove this experiment its pointless, just listen to your players, they are the ones keeping this game here. Up-set them enough and this game will die.

 hello tanki...here is what i think of the new system...

1. earlier i was able to collect crystals and was ale to microupgrade my tnk faster..

 

 

2.the gold box falling immediately is not suitable as it brings the factor of luck in the game,i liked the new system of marking the places where the boxes will fall but seriously dont make the gold box fall immediately.

 

 

 

3.the players at lower rank used to take crystal boxes therefore were able to microupgrade their tanks faster and become strong...now bcoz of this sytem they get less crystals after the battle hence they wont be able to microupgrade faster therefore the stronger players would easily destroy the tanks and will get more crystals too from the battlefund as they have stronger tanks(this brings total bias to the game)

 

please bring back the crystal boxes as they bmake the game more interesting...if some people like to collect crystals then they should be allowed to do so...also think of crystals as a important component of the game....frankly speaking i never was able to kill other tanks at earlier levels..crystals were the things which helped me to microupgrade faster and make my tank strong.

 

 

...please make bring back the crystal boxes....

I really liked receiving credit for partial hits. Any chance you could track and report that data in the Stats?

Destroyed & Lost could become Destroyed, Damaged & Lost?

 

On the gold box drops, I think a 30 second notification would be better than just dropping it right away.  I liked highlighting the landing zone too.

Now, it's hard to find balanced battle.

 

If you win, it's boring because there are low ranks in the enemy team. Or enemy left and it's a 10vs5 or something like that. So this is not fun.

 

And if you lose, it's also boring because you got killed over and over because you are 5 or 6 against 10 noobs druggers. And you get 0 crystals. Players of losing team have no interest to stay in the battle.

 

So, basically, this is what I think about this update :
