Join the experiment with crystal drops

Not Nice <crystal drops> I play with twins so short / mid-range battles are my thing.  When the game locks or I have to leave for some reason before getting to 90 minutes or 50 flags or whatever, I get NO crystals.  Makes the game <almost> not worth playing for me.  I assume most of the people who like the update are shafts who camp and don't want to fool with moving around the map.  Perhaps you can offer games both ways?  

 

Neutral <gold box drops> Either way is good although I would slightly prefer a little more warning, perhaps half what was standard.

 

That's a really good point. With drops of crystals prior to the predictable update there is some reward for effort in case of server problems, ISP burps, or being stuck with lousy teammates.

 

There were plenty of times in heavy battle I grabbed 4-5 boxes of 10 that randomly fell before being killed.

 

As an isida player the random crystal drops are essential at times because your reward comes mostly from picking up 10 crystal boxes while healing teammates.

 

I miss the random drops - it was something that added a dimension of surprise to the game.

As for the GoldBox update,i don't like it.Undo it please! I just feel its just luck that gets you the box now.

For the remove crystal boxes,not good.Not at all.There are lots of battles with long time and target.

I joined a battle just now with the target of 40 flags.Before the crystal boxes removed,people could take the crystals.

I have to wait till 40 flags or 400 minutes to get the crystals that should have dropped.

Alot of people cant wait for so long.

 

This is my review on the update.

BTW,prediction for drops are cool.

Suggestion:add a circle around the drop marks

                   indicating the time it will drop.

Tanki made this change in order to increase the sale of crystals, because now you can't win unless you are a drugger.

thank u. in fact when i got on yesterday, 75% were above 100 minutes :huh: something wrong?

 

COME ON!!!! I WAS USED TO HIDING AND SNIPING PEOPLE TRYING TO GET A GEM BOX, BUT NOW....(now i should turn caps off) now ill wait for the 2 hour battle to end :-(

I have really liked the fact that team mates are not detracted by crystals. Other wise they would just sit around crystal hunting and not paying attention to game.  I hope you keep it.

I DIDE AN EXPERIMENT WITH THIS EXPERIMENT !

I join the tanki onlin with new acount after the start of experiment look at  my new garage

to prove this update makes the non buyer player misreble and the buyer player buy more crystal

i just bought a wasp that cost me 100 , i reach to this rank in a few days and i played CTF battles with juste wasp and smoky m0 i even catch on gold box :D  so whats the point and why this update makes the tanki online fall?

here is the thing

i did not waste crystales we won 98% of all battles with stranger team mates and all i got 17300 crystal

as you know 4000 crystal is rank up bounes so i got 13000 crystal for this hard ******* work

if i buy smoky m1 i dont know if i can afford wasp in future even if i can and even if i buy these thing on a 50%  saleI

IF I WANT TO BE A GENERALISM I HAVE TO COMPLETE THE ENTIRE GAME WITH ONE TYPE OF HULL AND TURRET AND BUY THEM IN THE SALES AND IF I WASTE A LITTLE CRYSTAL ON THE SECONDARY HULL OR GUN OR PAINT I AM ****** UP

Yesterday, got kicked out of the battle, so didn't got any crystals from that :( . It said Foul Play Discovered You Have Been Removed From Battle. Lost a good fund :( . The guy who was 2nd in my team with only half of my score, received 760 crystals. Got kicked out when there were few kills required to win the battle. You better do something about this as well....!!!

Collecting crystal boxes has been a part of Tanki Online from its earliest stages. However, it didn’t affect gameplay that much – boxes contained a modest number of crystals and collecting them wasn’t worth the time and effort. Plus, they would disappear over time. When developing the new drop box logics, we modeled crystal drops after supply boxes, without assuming that it would escalate the situation. The open testing didn’t unravel this problem either, as each account there had more than enough crystals so there was no reason to collect crystal drops. On release day, we thought that the complaints of tankers were caused due to doubled battle funds, which result in a larger number of crystals in drops.

 

However, we’ve recently changed our attitude towards feedback. We’ve started assessing and analyzing constructive feedback in the forum, counting positive and negative replies, and monitoring battle chats. This has helped us identify where the real problem lies. And we thank you for that!

 

That is why, as of today we’ve removed crystal boxes from the game as an experiment. Crystals that would have dropped in boxes, will instead be added to the battle fund as many of you suggested. Gold boxes are dropped right after the notification, so as not to distract players from teamplay, and give everybody a shot at catching the gold. The experiment will be on until next week. We will then specify our next steps.

 

Enter the game, take part in battles and make sure you tell us your impressions below. Any solution can be improved, and your feedback will help us do that!
