Beginner Tutorial Improvements

Recommended Posts

Currently, we have a rather, um, *limited* tutorial for beginners, featuring one combo. I believe that the tutorial should take you through all the turrets, hulls and game modes and give you tips on how to use them, maybe give specific situations like sniping practice for shaft. This may enhance interest in the gameplay and lead to less players leaving after recruit. This would also lead to more crystal buyers and more profit for the game. Of course, players should still be able to skip parts of the tutorial if they wish.

The weapons they like would still be unlocked at the same rank and cost the same amount of crystals, but the point is for players to experience how diverse gameplay can be. It should also give a guide on interface, such as what 'tab' does. This may be longer than the current tutorial and a bit tedious, but in the long run won't it pay off?

Thank you for reading, I think this is a simple yet quite beneficial idea.

If beginners are allowed to go through all turrets and hulls, many players won't end up buying unnecessary stuff from the garage. I agree on this one. Mode, as in modification?

Mode as in game mode, so that not all players go to CTF because the server's automatically almost full with it.

The current tutorial, in my opinion, does not teach you how to play the game.

Instead, it just focuses on how "awesome" an M4 Combination is, etc. etc.

When you actually get in the game, you finally realize how expensive and far away an M4 actually is.

I agree with the topic maker. It should also take you through game modes, and give you more detailed directions and tips.

And maybe teach you some special techniques and maneuvers with certain turrets like Freeze, how you circle around opponents, etc. etc.

And let you learn how to correctly use Thunder's splash damage, and how to accurately bounce Ricochet's plasma balls off surfaces.

Very good, but some people would lose intrest in the middle of it. I suggest that tanki splits the tutorials, so when you reach a certain rank you get another tutorial in how to have better skill. For example, in sergant you are taken into a tutorial explaining how m1's are better then m0's. The starting tutorial should also feat. smoky, cuz you get it first in the game

I do believe that tutorial at a later rank should be give. Here is my story.

I found this game through by chance while I was searching on google.

I played the tutorial...at that time it was not excellent but due to boredom I entered the game anyway. It was difficult for me at first because I was a stranger to MMO's. I ranked up to sergeant buying equipment as it unlocked.

Believe me ..I had no idea that a forum or wiki existed. I knew if ranks only by the PIC on loading bar. Imagine my surprise when I saw mammoth being unlocked again at staff sergeant. I had no idea that m1,m2, etc. existed in the game. It took me a while to grasp this concept.

The fun if this game was drastically reduced for me as most if the time I had no idea what was going on. I only knew how to play battles and buy equipment.

It might seem funny but I did not use chat until master sergeant. I had no idea about team kick or its working. I did not know about gold boxes or supplies.

If all this is included in tutorial it would make life of a recruit much easier.
