UPDATE: After the latest game update of limiting the length of non-PRO matches to 30 minutes max, this idea may not be as useful anymore!

 

The developers have been doing some great work lately trying to improve the game. The latest update of removing crystal boxes was meant to mainly deal with the issue of crystal harvesters who rarely contribute to battles positively.

The mults who sabotage games also need to be dealt with, and the best way to do that is by having a player-controlled moderation/kick out system, a smart one though that only allows the removal of inactive and non-positively-contributing players.

But there's another negative aspect of this game that hasn't been addressed much, which is clan raids.

Don't you just hate it when you've been playing a 100-flag CTF match for 3 hours and your team is winning with a score of 90:20, so most (or all) of the opposing team players give up and leave, and suddenly an opportunist drug gang clan (mostly Generalissimos) joins the other team and they ALL start drugging like mad bulls. At this point most of your team mates are exhausted after all the time, effort and supplies they've spent and they cannot keep up, so half of them leave and you end up with 5 helpless players against 10 crazy druggers and finally lose the battle in less than an hour with a score of 90:100?

No normal player enjoys that, only those clans do.

In fact, to me those opportunist drug clans that "steal" the reward other players worked hard and long for are the biggest saboteurs.

So, to solve this issue I'd like to suggest limiting the total number of supplies players can use based on the time they've spent in the battle.

If any player joins a team match (CTF, TDM or CP) a timer will start running (not necessarily a visible one) to record the time the player has spent in the battle, and this will be used to limit the total number of supplies the player is able to use according to the chart below:

  • 0 - 10th minute of play: a maximum total of 7 supplies can be used (for example, the player may use double armor: 2 times, double damage: 2 times, nitro: 2 times and repair kit: 1 time; total = 7 supplies, at which point the player won't be able to use any more of his/her supplies until the 10th minute of his/her stay in the battle has elapsed).
  • 11th min - 30th min: a maximum total of 15 supplies can be used during this period of time.
  • 31st min - 60th min: 22 supplies max total.
  • 60th min - 100th min: 35 supplies max total.
  • 101st min+: No limit on the number of supplies that can be used after the player has spent more than 100 minutes in the match.

This will help reduce/discourage drug raids, and emphasize the importance of skill and strategy leading to a better game experience and less frustrated players.

An option can be added to PRO battles to disable the limits on using supplies, so that those clans can play against each other if they wish to.

i suggest the opposite actually...if a player has spent more than 100 minutes.he should not be allowed to use drugs..

infact there should be a time limit in game after you should not be allowed to use drugs.lets say 2 hours.

 

i was playing polygon cp and some russians came and started drugging eventually we lost 900-1000..

 

so i believe there should be a limit to how many drugs can be used by a player ina  match.

A few solutions without this:

-Join a drugging clan

-Play shorter battles

-Smart cool downs have reduced the need for this greatly

 

I personally don't like this because I am a drugger because I have over 650 of most each drug.
