Improving the game!

I think it's time for the Tanki team to be honest and explain the real rationale behind their releases.

As far as I am concerned these are desperate measures to extort more real cash from players and are not launched with the aim of improving gameplay.

Lately we have had a smart cooldown release co-ordinated with the daily showering of copious amounts of ‘gifts’/ supplies onto players in an attempt to get us addicted to being serial users of supplies.  This resulted in absolute carnage until stockpiles dwindled.  The actions of the Tanki team are akin to drug dealers cruising around schools offering free samples to children in order to get them hooked.

They then launch an 'independent' tutorial/strategy guide which from the outset advocates spawn drugging and self-healing.  A great way for our addicts to run out of supplies and be in desperate need for replenishments and running for the credit card.

Then we get the predictable drop fiasco.  Day one results in a giant crystal hunt where players have degenerated into post-apocalyptic zombies fighting tooth and nail for boxes containing as little as 20 crystals.  All this was compounded by consolidating drop locations into fewer areas so that most players caught considerably less than before.

Then we get the emergency release where the entire crystal fund is added to the battle fund which means that anyone on the losing team ends up with hardly anything.  At least before they could have got some reward by collecting a few 10 crystal boxes.  Of course long games have suffered because to get any reward out of the game you have to be there at the end.  Surely this was known to the design/dev team prior to them releasing this emergency change.

Once again for players to get any reward out of team games has had an impact upon the games degenerating into drug fests with players expending many k's worth of supplies to receive a much lessor crystal value.

This is followed up with a rigged feedback form asking for views of multi value crystal boxes or increased fund.  Where was the option for application roll back to dropping of 10 crystal boxes into unmarked areas?  That option didn't exist did it?  Has Tanki's pride been dented so much that they cannot contemplate reinstating the drop of 10 crystal boxes?

Now the 'experiment' continues and we are faced with short battles.  This may be good for some maps, but it is useless for others.  Excellent CTF games of Lost Temple could be found on EN1 each day and the structure of the map coupled with large team sizes consisting of diverse equipment made flag capturing difficult.  The games had full quotas of players persevering through chronic problems with lags that frequently afflicted this map often making it unplayable.  Your dev time would be better spent eliminating lag issues.

As a result of this flag capturing difficulty the games generated reasonable prize funds.  Now this map/game combo is ruined as there is a distinct possibility that no flags will be captured in such short periods.

But you give us option of continuing with longer battles for the cost of a pro-battle pass.  Thanks for your generosity.

Also with games ending after such short periods all continuity is removed as players now have the natural opportunity to move onto new games making void your sound bites of shorter games being equally as profitable as long ones.  Players leave and the battles become empty and terminate prematurely.

You are slick at self-promoting the game at various events worldwide and offering tourneys with reasonable prize funds.  You are also slick at offering bits of eye candy such as new visuals and meaningless actions.

But what is the point?

Why not focus on improving gameplay by:

   removing lags;

   introducing new maps;

   improving the ability to find desirable battles by offering a search for a battle across all servers;

   having a support team that actually supports users, resolves issues and exercises common sense;

   providing battles that affords all players the opportunity to extract a reasonable crystal return from each and every battle - reinstate the drop of 10 crystal boxes into unmarked locations as before.

All of your actions display attempts to modify the game in such a way that we as players are not receiving the appropriate crystal amounts/rewards for the many hours spent playing the game.

I am sure that this has all been pre-planned by yourselves so that diminishing returns and out of contol use of supplies result in cash payments to your business so that our gaming styles are maintained.

I recognise that you are a business and need income to operate.  But your actions and history do not portray yourselves as being worthy recipients of our hard earned cash.

I ask you which is better value - 250k crystals in Tanki or a newly released Xbox One/PS4 game?

They both cost roughly the same and you can't even but M3 twins or firebird with 250k - whereas the other option buys you an entire game!!!!

Now is your time to win back our trust and by providing proof that you can engage with us for the betterment of the game and not just lining your pockets with cash.

I really hope you prove me wrong - but then again I am sure you will not.

That is a bad move, Tanki Online! I don't like this update!

You made those 1-100 crystal boxes, and you remove them for two days! Not cool....

If you wan't to have a bigger fund battle, make a PRO Battle.

Here is a suggestion, decrease the PRO Battle value from 500 to 100 crystals!

Return crystal boxes!

We and you, we should consider ourselves lucky to be able to play this game for free. The design team, the programming and development team, the management team ... so... are not they allowed to make money, to eat and to pay their bills? The money just comes to them through the sale of crystals to "hurry players" and professional players. And yet, much crystal they give for free and through the game while you're having fun playing it.

Each time this game will have fewer options for players who do not pay anything, and more options for professional players. Maybe even go up the crystal quantities required for weapons upgrades and even to play pro battles.

I've seen this happening in many other online games that had their peak fame, only to fall almost into oblivion.

But who can blame them for making money?

At the end, the survival of the this game will depend on how they balance the need to make money with features that are left free to the remaining players.

At first, you need to know that before releasing an update you have to open the test server to test whether this update is good or no. Also you need to make 4+ servers open in test server because a lot of player can't play in test server as the test server is always busy.

2nd, WE HATE this Update.  Press this 9xXYH5j.png red button in front page.

It is my understanding that Test Servers are only for native russian speakers, for obvious reasons. The developers need to receive very accurate feedback, since they are all (or almost all) from Russian origin, it is easier for them to understand the technicality and the specifics of the "thing" in their own language.

Also, I've read this in the forum many months ago.

By the way, SlayDaBeast, (upper post #585),

It's a kind of a strong word, don't you think? What would you do if you have the same kind of business, develop games, programming and so on, and that is one or perhaps the only income you have?

Free to play simply means one has to wait a long time to get crystals to upgrade once a certain rank is achieved. Taking away free drops and removing the plentiful random supply drops makes the waiting time longer.

Pay to play means a person has unlimited resources to buy supplies - by cheating it allows one to rank faster.

The free players keep the game going because it provides a pool of "weaker" players for the cheaters to beat up upon - making them use their drugs faster - and causing their addiction to drugging to increase.

Removing crystal drops and random supply drops is an attempt to provoke free players into spending money.

Gold should fall after 30/40 seconds. 20 seconds is very short, nobody has the time to find the spot in Madness/Esplanade/Magistral.

Only the lucky ones near the spot have a chance.

Why this is so difficult to understand for devs???

Can't we get back to the old Gold, with no mark, and 30/60 seconds to wait?

Why simple and nice things are always removed, and instead, you put noob things?

I think crystal boxes helped stop camping now more people camp and less people run out in dangerous stunts.

That makes i tough for a sniper like me. :unsure:
