Today Australian cricket player Phillip Hughes aged at 25 turning 26 on Monday passed away, he recently got a hit to his head under the lip at the back of his helmet, he then collapsed and was resuscitated on field. after two days he has died from swelling to the brain. Wewill miss him and will always remember.

They should really improve the helmets. Turning your head around on a bouncer can kill you and left you suffering from a bunch of stuff.

They should put some kind of rod there, like the cage in front.

the reason the helmets haven't got protection there is because the batsman need full movement with there head.

He didn't duck. He turned around his head since the ball was a bouncer+very fast. Most cricketers fear bouncers, like the ones given by Brett Lee (damn, he injured quite a lot of people) and the fear adds to the fun.

There is no protection near the ears, the ball went through there. :\
