Test the Night Mode for maps!

I used to rather prefer shaft than railgun, because I hided where the shot came from. What's the reason now to have one fast-shoot railgun and one useless slow-prepared-shoot railgun (aka shaft)?

Shaft is a sniper. The fun with it was to hide yourself. With laser shaft becomes useless.  :(

Night Mode is great and I'ld like it even a little darker.

This is really great. However, this laser effect on the shaft is not a good Idea. One of the main objectives of running a shaft, is the ability to strike without being detected. I take great pride in my sniper abilities. To strike without detection is an art in itself. Putting laser on shaft will completely defeat its stealth. It would be like waving a brightly colored flag "Over here everybody! Here I am, hiding! Waiting to blow you up!"

I know the V-log points out that this would be a good thing for night games, but if you are going to put laser on the shaft, you might as well put it on other long range weapons, like Rail, Smoky and Thunder. I think this laser idea is crazy, and totally unrealistic for any tank!

In the picture, you show a laser coming out from under the spiral ramp at Noise. I have taken out many an unsuspecting opponent from that spot. With this laser, they will know I am laying in wait for them. This is not a good thing at all. I think the only people that will agree with attaching a laser to shaft, are people who don't run a shaft and want an easy game.

Please do not ruin the shaft...Thank You for taking the time to read this.

It has been mentioned a number of times that the laser gives away the tank's position and this negates the effort a shaft / sniper tanker invests in finding a good vantage point with cover on the battlefield. Even before the shot is made, the laser gives way their position allowing team mates to intervene with either counter fire to upset the aim or text warning to target.

The second problem is that the laser sight gives away the sniper's anticipation or plan. The Shaft turret moves slowly in sniper mode so for fast moving targets you have to anticipate their move, pick your spot and power up for the kill. Drawing from my experience on the test server on the stadium map, I was moving to collect a supply on the ground and immediately changed course when I saw the laser beam in front of the box. Obviously, I was pleased that I could evade the planned sniper shot, but no other turret on Tanki is penalized in this way (e.g. we don't get warning sirens whan a Freeze sneeks up behind you and freezes your ass).

The positive comments on the laser sight have been the look of the beam, which it is shown in a lot of Hollywood movies because it is more dramatic than telescopic sights and really that is just that.

It is said "variety is the spice of life" and each turrent provides their unique flavour to the game and shaft represents the cover/camoulage/"one shot - one kill" aspects of the battle. The laser scope really undermines the use of this turret and should not be deployed unless it is the plan to replace shaft with the new guns.

Also, without dynamic lighting. The mode (night) is trash. It looks so cheesy and it looks like the day map just with the brightness low. (I don't have dynamic lighting on my computer)

Please dont implement new shaft laser pointer. It will ruin it forever and i will not be able to enjoy my shaft anymore. I have viking m3 and shaft m3 solid micro upgraded and thats my fav combo now with that pointer i will not be able to hide anywhere because of laser everyone will know where iam and keep shoting me. If you add it then why not add for smoky too? You never know when he or she will shot and kill you with critical.

Dont implement laser pointer!!!

i love the laser scope, as long as it is a night game. i am a hard core shaft player, i earn my crystals by waiting for other tankers to drive into my sights. that will not work anymore if they know EXACTLY where i am looking. tankers are not stupid, they can see the laser and they won't drive into it or anywhere near it. good idea, but just for night battles, ok.
