Can one become a commander in chief without having to spend money to buy crystals?

 

If so, what is the percentage who make if for free.

Commander in Chief? If you are referring to the rank system, then the maximum rank is Generalissimo, unlocked at 1 400 000 experience points. Please refer to the wiki page about ranks to find out more. "Commander in Chief" is not a rank in this game.

 

If you are indeed asking about ranks, then yes - it is not, at any point, compulsory to buy crystals for real money to proceed to the next rank. To get a new rank all you need is play battles and get experience by killing tanks (or capturing flags/controlling points). Eventually you will rank. Even to buy items in the game you are never forced to buy crystals. All crystals can be earned by playing battles till the end or by catching gold boxes. Buying crystals is an option added for enthusiasts, who want to get good equipment quickly without having to spend many hours in battles.

 

If you refer to "commander in chief" as a helper position for the administration, then again, such a position does not exist. To apply for a helper job you need to fill out an application form and no, you do not need to pay real money or crystals to apply.

I don't know the percentage of players, who reach the last rank without investing real money, but I imagine that the value is fairly low. Personally, I bought crystals sometimes to give me enough for an item on sale that I want to buy before the sale is over.

Tanki is made up of all different ranks from all over the world. The symbols that represent the rank are also changed a little bit.

however with additional crystals you can have equip of dreams (if you buy at start, you will be the best, will win the most of battles = more easier career)

no buy: you have to save as much as you can, try to find only those best battles, wait for the best sales, choose equip wisely....

not so fun as when you can buy whatever you want

btw i have bought m3 light kit for 300k crystals, m3 heavy kit for 450k. hehehe (but it wasnt fun, save money from major to major general, and then start saving again (with rico m1, m2 bought at 50% sale) to have 450k before rankup to marshall to get that kit...)

then devs started to give same sales, on hulls / turrets which aren't the best (hornet, railgun, freeze, viking (they are good, but devs preffer those sales, because new people want them, they can be bought sooner than other ones)) instead of dictator, hunter...

so i had to buy viking (yes 70% was awesome, still it isnt hunter...)

now i have isida, twins, smoky, rail, hornet, viking, mammoth M3 rustle spark needle prodigi taiga and 76,6k to buy myself something tasty on new years sale (if there will be one)

Yes, but you probably need a million crystals or 2 over your carreer. That is a few hundred bucks. If you use the x2 which they give a way pretty often, you can save 100 or 200 dollars. It is still a big amount of money to shell out on this game.

the fund you get will increase as you will continue in ranks (when i was the rank of you, i thought its impossible to get so nice paints as clay or zeus, that 250k crystals will take over a year to collect...)

the fund comes from kills / captures, maybe flag return

if a player is killed, he gives an amount of crystals to fund equal to his rank (for each rank it is different number, its lowest at starting rank, highest for generalissimo)

thats why 500 fund is in your rank very big, but i normally see fund of 500 (or more) after 4 minutes in full polygon dm... (+ during battle, fund rise is maybe even 500 crystals in 2 - 4 minutes)

gold for me is pretty nice number, but 1000 for you is incredibly more

it could be good to buy about 30k for few euros at the very start, to make good acc, but then buying equip for money is very expensive

to those 2 milion, i have surely spent 300k (light M3) + 450k (heavy M3) + 110k (smoky M2 + M3 but not sure) + 90k (viking m2 + m3) and then fire m2, rico m1,m2, mammoth m1, m2, thunder m1, m2, railgun m2, freeze m1, m2, isida m2 hornet m1 =>all 50% off  (+ some m1 worth of max 50 - 60k)

hornet m2 25% sale

and rustle, inferno 50% sale

eh, thats 1 470k + 50k of those m1's + MU's worth eh... i really don't know, maybe over 70k - 100k...

NO buying (ok, got maybe 200k total from all contest + 260k from rankups, so its maybe about 1 100k made by myself)

+i have 76k

as you can see, i have never bought anything without a sale (just m1 isi full price)

not "so" hard

So far I invested about 5000 Roubles into this game (that's about $130), and I only have three M3 items with almost no upgrades. To buy a fully upgraded garage you need over 50 million crystals - that's up to $20000...

i have tried to buy everything "usefull" for generalissimo on test, it cost about 30 - 40 milion crystals (from 100 milion left like 60 - 70...)

(MU included)

However if you done it at 50% sale it is max 20 - 30 milion
