Let's discuss keys for controlling your tank

Current key controls are W, A, S, D or arrow keys (↑, ↓, →, ←) for driving your tank, X, C, Z for rotating your turret, space bar for shooting, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 for activating your supplies and tab for scoreboard.

 

 

Not all keyboards are same and because of that it would be great if we could change each key separately to any other key. I believe that could improve gaming.

It's a good idea. The one on the Russian Tanki Online feedback site the same idea was posted a while ago and currently has 222 upvotes. Developers might add this feature to the game eventually - they know that players want it and they will consider whether it is really necessary.

Your right I posted this in wrong place. I did make same one at the "Ideas and Suggestions" but now I need to find out how to close/remove this one, if that's even possible or do I just need to wait that moderator close it.

Or you could buy a 200$ keyboard with all programmable keys.

I use the arrow key setting to play the game. However, after trying out the WASD system (and failing miserably), I realized that this system was much better per say than the arrow key style due to the fact that the camera angling keys, which is a key part of playing this game, are much closer to the left hand than they are to the right hand (correct me if I'm wrong).

Finally, i can use my hypothetical dvorak keyboard and not be annoyed for absolutely no reason! (On a serious note, why hasn't custom controls been implemented yet?)

You would be amazed to know how many gissmos don't know or just don't move there turret, a conservative estimate

is at least 20% of them i was surprised to find out about that! .... most of them use either isida or rico on viking but

they manage to get normal scores! there play times is normally starting after server restart with 2 hrs.

I use the arrow keys to drive the tank. On my keyboard, "home", "end," "delete," "page up" and "page down" right above the arrow keys. I use page up and page down to change the angle of the camera. Unfortunately, occasionally, I accidently hit "delete" instead of the camera keys. I wish TO would implement a "cancel" option for those accidental deletes. (It has already been suggested).
