How the shotgun gonna work?

Tanki Online isn't a realistic simulator. It's an arcade. In real life you don't mount a shotgun on a tank, yet in the same way you don't mount sniper rifles, "freeze" guns, weird ricocheting guns and healing turrets onto tanks. This game is an arcade and the items are developed to be interesting and fun to use, as well as making the gameplay more dynamic. If all guns were realistic, then the game would only have Smoky and Thunder - the only two remotely realistic guns.

If you want a realistic tanks simulator - try playing World of Tanks  ;)

But WOT sucks so lets stick with Tanki >:)

My full review:

 

Pros

• Excellent DPS. Makes short work of light hulls at close range. It can also deal with medium hulls in a pinch. Heavy hulls are a different story.

Cons

• No way to reload the weapon without emptying the clip. During this time, your pants are down. Since you need to get close to your opponents in order to use it, you'll have to frantically run away and hope you don't get gunned down by an angry target.
• Really short effective range. I almost feel as if Firebird has more range than Hammer. If you don't get to point blank range, it's pretty useless.
• If somebody uses a health kit after you pump 1-2 rounds into them, you're screwed, since you won't have enough ammunition to damage them all over again. Since you're at close range, again, you need to frantically run away and hope you don't die. I suspect Hammer won't be very useful in drug wars because of this reason.
• For whatever reason, I'm not noticing the impact force. The recoil is there, sure, but I didn't notice much, if any impact on enemies that I'm hitting, even at close range.

My suggestions:

• Make reloading start if you don't fire the weapon for 10 seconds.
• Make the impact force more noticeable. I'm not really seeing it. It may just be me, though.

rail can shoot from other side of map, and no damage descrease over distance, and can hide far behind house, so easy to survive,

 

shotgun, has to be in front of other's face to take damage, and no place to hide after that

i am laughtning on the floor when i see in horror movies that they shot in zombies which are like 100 meters away with a shotgun :lol:  :lol:  :lol:

After playing with Hammer on the test server, I found out a strategy that works for me. Here's how it works:

After you've dealt with your oponents and there's one shot left in your clip and you are safe from fire, shoot somewhere. This way after you go in another fight with the enemy team, you will have 3 shots ready to fire instead of 1.

Not that you can do much against a whole team with this, I like it though.

I really don't won't to face people with this weapon at battlefield, its pretty bad, even if they improve it, people will only buy because its overpowered
