Guys why hammer does not apply the max. damage all the time? I shoot same tank from the same distance... sometimes i get 1035 and sometimes 805, 900, 950, ...etc.

"my hammer is m3 14/20 by the way"

I have read something about hammer in the forum that it has higher bar or something like that.. what does that mean ???

And any advice about how to get the max.damage in every shot ?

Hammer does most damage up close because it's a close range turret. It is possible to destroy the opponent from long range too if you manage to hit him with more pellets and if he is on low HP. Although, if you want more accurate shots from hammer, you have to buy the Slugger alteration for 50k because it minimises the range of the shots to be more accurate.

Can somebody , expain its alts to me ?

M2 alt gives you 5 shots before it has to do the long reload instead of the standard 3 shots, but it takes longer to reload.

 

M1 alt allows you to produce more damage at midrange with each shot, but the rotation speed is much much slower.

M1 - so... basically no downside for players who can't turn their turret  ;)

M1 and M2 alts regardless of hull. You need slugger or youll almost never do full damage because of inaccuracy from range or tanki autoaim aiming at the edge of the hull and causing half the pellets to miss. M2 alt is just broken. 

 

Hammer needs these alts, otherwise its the second worst turret in the game just above freeze and below vulcan.

Oh , but in croweded maps like polygon , Standerd Hammer will be more good , since it will have more spread

Well just only 10 % increaese in reload , you get 5 shots per clip , isnt it useful ?

Regardless of map, you want both alts. Unless the enemies are right next to each other in the point, the tighter spread is useful and if you're just firing at enemies in the point you don't need the rotation speed.

The slugger alt is useful in maps bigger than say sandbox or pass.

 

The HCA alt is more of a must at all accessible ranges, because it gives you 2 extra shots.

 

Equipping both of them allows you to produce more damage at medium ranges with 5 shots before reloading.

The slugger alt is useful in maps bigger than say sandbox or pass.

It is useful on every map. The damage you do with less of the pellets missing due to BS auto aim is worth the times where you have to stop and turn both your turret and hull to hit a firebird.

But...But...Hammer was crap on test server...(I had both alts)

 

 

 

I think hammer is the worst gun. When you have DD and you can't shoot.. It is so annoying.

 

 

hammer really rocks!!! im gonna buy hammer soon!!

It's not a bad turret... the reload is faster than I expected and it has decent impact force but I feel like smoky is better at close range.

One battle solikamask , a M3 wasp hammer wrceked me up , at all ranges 

i think he had Slugger

can we please get a range reduction on this "close range turret" with the damage output of a melee range turret?

Why ?

It is a Shot gun not a Flame thrower

The one thing hammer has over freeze and fire is just enough range to safely destroy melee turrets and impact.

It is not really close rang it is kind of in between Short & mid range just like the standerd Twin's

It has ridiculous Impact force , and it has kind of  bounce shot effect like rico 

 

And It is in a different league from the Fire,Freeze,Isida family

Hammer is basically a melee turret. You need the slugger alt to even do viable damage at "medium" range, and even then you also need the drum alt to be able to kill things. Even with both alts, it's just a slightly more damaging thunder with no splash and limited ammo.

Well, a shotgun is a close range weapon. Real life does not apply. TO is a game not a simulation. :)

 

What does the Hammer bring to gameplay that other close range turrets do not. Who should someone play with it over freeze or fire?

Hammer can erase an enemy with a single shot. The others have no impact where Hammer has tremendous impact force.  Hammer can engage at medium ranges moderately well. Fir and Freeze modules are seem much more than ha,mer modules.

 

But mostly these are different play styles.  Some player will just find one or the other more fun. That's always the bottom line for me.
