So going by these stats, it's damage is close to railgun's minimum, has the reload of smoky, and the range is worse than twins. That will be ridiculous at flag defending...

After reviewing this turret in the test server, it is not an alternative to Thunder. Thunder is much better than this turret because of the range that it offers. Also, you can barely see this turret's shot on another tank. You see the black soot after you fire, but it's so hard to see the pellets or bullets or whatever the ammo is actually hit the tank so you can't really tell if you hit another tank or not from range. I honestly would advise not buying this. Maybe it's better than Thunder at flag defending, but for everything else, no. 

 

Of course, this is my opinion, you are free to make your own conclusions. I just wanted to share mine.

I just played on the test server and the shotgun is going to be called the Hammer, or that's what it was called in the test server. TBH its a very very powerful gun when used properly. With a double power on, it can destroy a titan up close in two shots, which can go off in a split second together. An interesting thing to note however is once you fire that third shot in the barrel, the hammer won't let u shoot until it completely reloads again, meaning if u fire the 3 shots all at once, you have to wait around 5-7 seconds. It is one of the more powerful weapons in the game. I think the ideal hull for the turret would be viking. Hunter is a bit too wavy and the hammer needs a steady hull to aim correctly. Hornet is very weak and can be killed instantly if faced with another hammer. Titan and Mammoth are ok, but since the Hammer is mainly a close range weapon, any opposing thunder, railgun, rico, or even twins could prove deadly. Its a very fun and tactical weapon but like rico, I think it will command much strategy to be used efficiently. Sure you can ring out 3 shots and destroy an enemy instantly, but after that, you're vulnerable for a relatively long period of time. The strategy would have to come into the timing of each shot as well as judgement in range and which enemy to target. The turret gives a rather poor sense of range and you don't really know how effective  the turret is at a farther distance. Its turning speed is also rather moderate. Overall, a very interesting and fun turret to use.

hammer looks awsome  gonna buy it as soon as it comes out!

 

not so sure about the gatling gun one though ... a gun that powerful must have some sort of weakness that may put you at a massive disadvantage so i recomend testing it out before going into a full scale massive battle

Seems pretty powerful especially on DP but the range gets me....I'm not sure that its the type of gun that should be in close range combat. I think its range shouldn't go across map but still have some distance.

take railgun,give it a medium range(60m),halve its damage,give it 3 shots and a ridicolously long reload...

result: unless it's a wasp/hornet it can't kill anything that has a first aid ready for use(using DP).

railgun one shots dictator instead...

i think it's quite crap tbh..

I think the reloading is an issue. You have to empty your clip if you want to reload the weapon, and in the process you're extremely vulnerable. In addition, if your target uses a health kit before getting destroyed, you'll have no choice but to run away and hope you don't die. Railgun has this issue too, but players tend to use it at long range, where you're less likely to get destroyed.

 

In its current state, I think it would only be useful for NS battles against light hulls; anything with enough health to survive 3 shotgun hits can destroy you easily.

This new weapon seems quite good from testing, but it is somewhat tricky to use.

Anyway, I can't say what hull this new turret goes best with. I haven't used it with each hull yet in testing and it has not come in to Tanki yet.

I don't like the new shotgun. The reload is a bit weird and I find it hard to aim! Thunder's probably better due to damage and reload.

I agree with the aiming problem. I think the effect could be enhanced with a bit of flame at the impact point.
