Make Your Owin Paint

My suggestion was that players would be capable of making and customizing their own paints, and select the protection levels as they wanted, by paying a certain ammount of crystals, of course.

 

With each rankup you'd be able to add more points of protection to your paint (for example if you are a Colonel you'll be able to destribue 40 points as you wish among protection to any kind of weapons, as if you are a Generalissimo you'll be able to destribue 150 points). Of course these values are just to give an example, in the game itself they'd have to be lower, I guess, and also there had to be a max limit to every protection, set by rank (max protection for a Generalissimo would't be more than 50% or 50 points).

 

Also you were able to choose and upload an image of your choice and be able to see a preview of it in your tank, before deciding.

 

After the paint was done you wouldn't be able to make any more alters to it, except for micro upgrades, even when you rankup, and if you wanted to get different protections or more higher level of protection you would have to make a new one.

 

Lets get some more diversity in the game :D maybe an original paints contest :D

Would other tankers be able to use the paint that a certain person made? Or the person who made his/her paint, would it only be available to that person?

I say that its a good idea, but the amount of offensive writing on the paints would fufill the mods day :/ Except, if there is a way round this... i like it :) Just dont make protection OP (personally i would prefer no protection on custom paints)

In case of offensive language the player would loose the paint and the crystals it cost him, keeping in mind that the paint wouldn't be cheap I guess the players wouldn't risk it... Zero protection would be a good idea also, just the custumization of the tank aspect would be great too (that's the main reason in fact, the protection would be a secondary, even if great, feature).

How would this ruin the game? Everybody would have the chance to do it, so what is your problem? Let me guess, "higher ranks and buyers would become more OP, bla bla bla..." There is a way around it you know? 90% of the players who complain about being hard to get crystals have their garages filled with hulls and turrets they never use, spend crystals in micro upgrades of M1 and M2, everytime there is a discount they just have to buy something...

 

How about saving them for what really matters? I play with the M3 Thunder now, I got to this point never having made a single micro upgrade on the M0, M1 and M2 models. The same with Viking, I'm at M2 (with zero micro upgrades), next rank will be at M3 and I have the crystals for it. If I get there before the Christmas sale good, 50% off, if not I'm not going to buy something else because its 50% cheaper... oh, and I get toe to toe in battles with other players with M3 since I had my M2s, so its possible to survive like that.

Ok lets put you in situation:

You are in a random battle, everyone has paints that they made, with breaking rules words on it. You don't even know which turret they protect about, and how much. That would completely ruin the "fair" gameplay, and the buyers will have super OP paints. So the answer is simply : NO

see, i like being able to see an opponent, and to think, hmm, he has tundra, which wont affect my m1 fire, i think i will go kill him.

 

instead of thinking, i hope he doesnt have 40% fire :unsure:

That's easy to overcome, just not add protections to paints, the players would be able to costumize a paint, but it would have no protections, just like the holyday paint...

 

In case there were protections, keep in mind that the other players wouldn't be able to see your protection too, which could lead to more variety on the battlefield, contrary to the current ones where you see isidas and thunders all over the place. And you would have to be pretty unlicky if everybody would have protection against your weapon...

Hmmm I guess you would not know if any tank is resistant to your turret if you see their paint

It would be awesome watching your tank go at it with a tank covered with the British flag :D

I think that if you have a clan then your clan designer or clan leader should be able to make a customized paint for wars, with no protection obviously.

 

It would just be cool new feature to bring to clan battles, and if they decide to use them out side of clan battles then no harm done because they have 0 protection, and it will stand out to the enimies. in fact it will make it easier for the enimies to kill.
