Happy Christmas! Or is it happy New Year? Or both? Hmm...Happy whatever you celebrate! This issue, you're up for something special. Something that has (kinda) never been done before. *Drum roll please* It's a interview! I bet you're asking yourself "Huh? A interview? How is that new?". Well I tell you that this is an interview about the real lives of Reporters! I mean, I bet you all know Hog's favorite combo, or Kirby's favorite map. But what if I asked you what Hog wants to be when he's an adult? There's a blank? Well this article is here to fill it up! Now, if you're not all that excited, well at least pretend to, k? Because after all, it's the thought that counts.

For this issue, I've interviewed two English reporters and an Antarctic one.

First up!

Talking with this fuzzy little pink ball was really fun. He kept jumping up and cheering at every single word I said. With Kirby, you can be as silly and crazy as you want, because he said himself he's easy-going. That's what he claims, at least. The interview was a very original and emoticon-filled one :P

Me: Lets start! So first off, how'bout you tell us a bit about yourself? Naah just kidding. Instead. why don't you describe to us a regular weekday in a normal week in an uneventful month? (Did you get what I said?)

Kirby: Sure! I'm 17, still in Sixth Form, so most of my normal week is full of schoolwork, and the homework and activities that come with it. In my spare time, I play badminton, practice chess like a true Asian boy, and I like to go out with friends from time to time :) It's really hectic at the moment with university looming, and the application process is very stressful. But hopefully, I'll be able to get where I want for next year!

Me: And what university is that?

Kirby: Medicine at Cambridge... :) In fact, my interview there is in two days time! I'll tell you how it goes!

Me: Will be waiting with anticipation :) In the mean time, how'bout you tell us about of of your most cherished memories?

Kirby: Well, I've had a lot of interesting experiences. I've been lucky enough to have visited quite a lot of places around the world, due to my chess. I think one trip I'll always remember was to Slovenia about two years ago. It was an extremely tough and frustrating tournament for me, and I hate to admit it but I couldn't help but cry after giving away an easy win one round! It also didn't help that I had to play two of my teammates (out of the four of us in that section) in the last two rounds. That was very unlucky.

Me: Aww...but are you sure you cherish that memory? *cough* To hold something dear *cough*

Kirby: Yeah, I do :) it's in the past now, and although it wasn't the best of experiences, I'll always remember it!

Me: Yeah, like my dad always says, you learn from your mistakes! By the way, do you still play pro chess now?

Kirby: I wouldn't say 'pro', far from it. I have to say I don't play much anymore, just for the school team.

Me: That's too bad. I bet you would've been a great player! I myself like to play chess. Now moving on, do you have any fav' artist/actor/musician you would like to share with us?

Kirby: I love music - listen to it a lot of the time... While studying, showering, Tanki-ing...

Having said that, I don't really have a favourite artist. I like quite a wide variety of music, but if I had to choose, I'd probably pick a band like One Republic or Imagine Dragons. But like I say, I listen to a lot - from jazz to trap to pop.

I don't have a favourite actor, nor do I have a favourite film! It depends on how I'm feeling - sometimes I like to watch a comedy, sometimes something darker.

Me: Well, it surprises me you have a favorite game! (or do you...naah you must have) Looks like I have study now *opens Tanki* , so let's end with something readers want most. Would you agree to show us a picture of you?

Kirby: A picture haha :P What sort do you want? A funny one, embarrassing one?

Me: Something that would make your personality stand out ;)

Kirby: I'll send you two :) I doubt my friends would want to be in them, so they will have to just be pictures of me.

I would like to think that I'm fairly easy-going, and I think it mayybbeeee reflects that?

And this one might make you laugh a bit. For Halloween I was peer-pressured into dressing up as a creepy girl...

Me: *Laughs extremely loudly without even looking at image*
*Looks at 2nd image*

HAHAHIHihoho Kirby girl version...got cramps now...Ahem, thanks for an extremely entertaining interview! See ya! Gotta study now! Bye! *logs into Tanki*

*A Few Seconds Later*

Psst. You forgot the makeup btw. I was never here.

Now, dear readers, kindly show respect and do not laugh too hard. Wait I meant the opposite. Girl kirby...oh no cramps are back again...

Ahh...good ol' Gold. You get it? Good, Gold? Yeah, never mind. The interview went well, if you call staring at a rock for hours waiting for a reply "well".

Me: Let's start! First off, since this is about you real life, not about your Tanki combos, why don't we start with you telling us about what a regular weekday down there in England is like?

Gold: A regular weekday... So, I wake up at like quarter-to-seven in the mornings, arrive at school at around quarter-past-eight and then sit through five lessons of varying degrees of boredom throughout the day. Some days, I have extra-curricular stuff like piano lessons and lifeguard training, but I've mostly cut down on the things I do outside of school because exams, so yeah.

To be honest, a regular weekday is not the most interesting thing. Blame school for that, lol

Me: I know what you mean. *sigh* Why did Charlemagne have to do this to us? But wait....You have lifeguard lessons? Is that what you want to do when you grow up?

Gold: It's not exactly what I want to do when I grow up, lol. Well, I've started learning to swim at a young age like quite a few others - though when I finished the ordinary course and became a complete swimmer, I then moved onto a 'rookie lifeguard' course and finished that too. I'm currently trying to obtain a qualification which would allow me to be employed as a lifeguard for indoor pools, which I guess might be useful part-time work when I go to uni. After all, even if the pay isn't that high, standing at the side of a pool for some hours (assuming no-one starts drowning/dying etc. etc.) is not the hardest job in the world!

When I grow up, I'm considering going into a finance or business-related area, but I'm still not entirely sure... For my A-Levels (where you have to pick 4 subjects initially), I've decided I'm definitely taking Maths + Further Maths, Computing and Physics - but I'm not sure about the last subject. I'm thinking about either an English one or Economics - so the result of that decision will be a big factor in determining whether or not I do end up as a pro businessman in the future xD

Me: Talking about business, did you know Sony is going bankrupt? But that's not important (no actually it really is--imagine, fellow readers, the world without PS4's!!! It's ZE APOCALYPSE!!!!!). You in a business man suit? For some reason that feels awkward. I mean, your name and voice just sounds like a pro athlete's one. Do you play any sports? (besides swimming, obviously)

Gold: I already wear a proper blazer, tie, formal shirt, trousers and shoes because of school uniform k... We even have a school polishing machine, recently installed outside the student entrance. Big posh British school pls.

And Fen knows how much of an 'avid athlete' I am. I usually play table tennis two or three times a week with a friend, and I'm actually pretty good at volleyball as well as being decent at most racket sports. But apart from that, sports are not exactly my forte in general - I'm a bit average at everything else, despite being 6 foot 1 in height. In fact, I'm the tallest person by at least a head to be in the bottom set for sports lessons at our school *sigh*

Me: Huh I'd like to see you and Fen standing next to each other. Wait. Uh. Oh. Forget I mentioned Fen. Errr....gotta change topic quickly.....so, what is your most embarrassing moment EVER?

Gold: Fen - well, I'd have to make sure I look down regularly to keep checking where he is.

My most embarrassing moment... I think I'll quote a forum post where I wrote about it:

"Well... Once, I was on the bus home, when a girl sitting some seats back threw a note at me. My friends sitting next to me got hold of it, read it aloud and then passed it around the bus... Needless to say, that was very embarrassing. And that's all I'm saying k."

And erm, yeah... *looks the other way and starts whistling*

Hey wait, I can't whistle .-.

*looks the other way and starts pretending to whistle*

Me: xD I have a huge clan war exam tomorrow, so I have to go study now. Thanks for an amazing few minutes, and see ya!

Gold: No problem; good luck studying for that clan war!

Me: Clan war? What clan war? Wait I mean I'm still studying for my EXAM and randomly decided to check Skype again. Now I'm off for real! Bye!

Gold: Procrastination is a true Reporter's greatest talent, so I've guess you've got that going for you... See you :)

Me: By the way would you agree to give me a photo that I'd put in the article? Oh and NOW I'm off for real. Bye!

Gold: Well, if the others have agreed to it, I guess I could... But there is something I haven't yet told anyone, and that's that I'm quitting Tanki today for like half a year.

Me: YOU WHAT?!?!

***

Dear readers, unfortunately the rest of the conversation is unavailable, as it is off-topic. Yes, after that revelation, I completely forgot about the picture.

My sincere condolences.

Kevred

At first, I thought you had to be all classy an' mature when talking with Hog. But I couldn't be more wrong. So now my trash can is filled with deodorants, Excel breath fresheners, hair gel, masks, bow ties and a smoking. Well, it's not like 1 million wasted dollars gonna bankrupt me right? Right?

Me: How are you? (A good breakfeast makes a good day)

*awkward silence*

Me: Ahem. Time to break the kilometer thick ice! Could you tell us about a regular weekday in your city, which is...?

Hog: Quite obviously, I live underneath a kilometre-thick glacier in Antarctica. My average week-day consists of building igloos and eating polar bears.

Me: Aha, I see. Time to throw away the "Serious Looking Mask" I just bought then. What a pity, it cost me at least 1 dollar. And...you take igloo-building classes?

Hog: Unfortunately not, been teaching myself. Was planning to get some lessons, signed up with this igloo-teacher from down the road,, let's just say our relationship was pretty icy.

Me: Chill, I know how it feels. Keep your head cool, it will hopefully get better. If you want, I can give you Thekillerpenguin's address, he has some experience with cold teachers I believe...Now, I heard you play piano?

Hog: Yeah, that is one of my main hobbies when on my regular trips transporting igloos around the world. Taken my first diploma just this week, actually. Love it, doubt I'd be able to live without some form of piano to be honest.

Me: xD Mind if I add one of your piano vids in the interview? BTW You'll need to give me the link first :P

Hog: If you'd like, sure.

This was from about a year ago now, but it's my most recent video.

Me: Thanks! Since when did you start playing piano? And do you play any other instruments?

Hog: Can't remember, if I'm honest... I'm guessing something like 4. And yes, I do actually, Play the bassoon, big bass wind instrument, can't really describe it but I think it's safe to say that it's taller than Fen

Me: Poor Fen...now...something that'll fill you with dread...(hopefully). What is your most EMBARRASSING moment?

Hog: Really, Kev, really? Erm, not sure, apart from being tactically outwitted by a polar bear on several occasions... Well, there was the time I accidentally walked into the ladies' toilets. Don't publish that, pls.

Me: I swear I won't publish that, don't worry. You have my word. And my word can always be trusted :)
Now I bet everyone's wondering what a musician like you fav's artist is?

Hog: Well, I am fond of Picasso... Seriously, music-wise, I'm one for a good-quality band. I like the mainstream ones like Coldplay, One Republic, Imagine Dragons; I also make drum-and-bass jungley housey genre music with a friend so I like that sorta stuff. Of course, classical too, but I enjoy any music of at least some worth.

Me: Erm...I've never heard of any of those bands :/ This is embarrassing. So...how good would you say your grades are?

Hog: Well, all I'll say is if you want to see good grades in the reporter team, there are far better places to go. Decent at Maths and Music, 'part from that, it's sit down, do your stuff, get a couple of A's and B's and head back to the igloo factory...

Me: That life must be stressful, what with all the polar bear accidents on the road. Just yesterday a drunk sea lion crashed into a glacier. You better be physically fit. Talking 'bout physique, I know Goldy plays some sports, and I know you always wanna be better than him, so do you play any sports?

Hog: Yeah, mad keen on table tennis, even though I've lost a bit of touch of recent times. I also do enjoy a good game of football with mates. Love following sport as well as playing, one of the great joys of life.

Me: Thanks for a entertaining interview Hog, and keep up the great articles! Gotta go study with a friend now, *types in tankionline.com* , so bye!

Hog: Cya

~A few hours later~

Me: Hog wait don't leave yet I forgot to ask you for a picture of you! Hog? HOG?

*moment of silence*

Oh no. I guess he departed for Malaysia...

~A week later~

Hog: Just checking in from Malaysia, Kev I'll send you a pic asap.

1zv2udf.jpg

Hog: Pic from 'bout a year ago now, considering I'm probably the most unphotogenic igloo-maker since kids were invented, I don't regularly upload my face onto peoples screens so if for some reason you come down with symptoms of eye damage, dizziness, or sudden need for chicken, blame Kev. Or thank him.

I play piano too, Hog. Its the best instrument.

And I live in the north pole, constantly having to dodge pesky elves who think they can walk in the middle of the road.

North Pole > Antarctica

BTW, when will you be looking for new reporters? I will be the next one.

Unfortunately, it seems hog doesn't have a actual piano ( easier to control dynamics etc.)

I have a proper piano, don't worry. Just recorded it on a keyboard as sound quality generally is better. Yeah absolutely, trying to play piano on a keyboard is a route to underpar mediocrity.

Maddog21 is a terrible person. I told him that I was a boy, and he called me a girl still, because he said names like bubbles, anything with girl in its name was super dumb and they are very childish liars. I told him I was a boy, he got pissed off, reported me, also said that I was "vanished" and said good bye. He isn't nice! And very childish, he is like 10 pretending to be much older. I don't care what you say I have proof of what he said. Don't make him sound good, he is a immature child!

I highly doubt he would do that
