Night Mode for maps and Shaft’s laser scope

​Bring back the OLD SHAFT.  

 

You have taken out the whole premise of sniper by adding a laser.  Now the Shaft is at huge disadvantage.  Freeze is the weapon that needs it's power / feature dialed back.  It takes no skill to operate Freeze.  Just drive around…...

 

Bring back the OLD SHAFT.  DON'T LET THE CRY BABIES DICTATE THE DEVELOPERS NEXT ROLL OUT.

I personally don't use shaft, but I always giggle when I check the scoreboard and see someone with 50 kills and almost 0 deaths, even a hardcore drugger is unlikely to get a D/L like that :P

Shaft só tem D/L alto quando a equipe é boa e lhe fornece proteção, mas quase não pega bandeira e só pode jogar bem em alguns mapas. no final das partidas, recebe menos cristais que alguem com D/L baixo.
Cada arma tem a sua caracteristica, e a sua forma de diversão.
Mutilar a forma de Shaft jogar, não diminuiu muito seu D/L em, alguns mapas, em outros ficou impossivel de jogar, mas deixou o jogo horrivel para quem joga com Shaft.

This is a bad idea to put laser on shaft. This update is dicouraging me to find the strategic locations and fight wisely.

 Shaft was already vulnerable if someone get close to them, now laser will make them more vulnerable. i now probably will prefare to use thunder.

I understand why many Tankis  are angers by Shaft users but it is not warranted.  The latest change is unwarranted.

 

Here is why. 

The largest problem right now, is if you are killed in the game, it is very difficult to determine where the kill came from, regardless of weapon type.  I think the Railgun is far more evil than Shaft yet we have no prior marking from Railgun. 

 

Why are you singling out shaft? And why change the program which hardly addresses the problem?

 

When I get killed, I don't care who killed me or what weapon they used, but where did it come from?  In the real world, I would have real evidence to figure it out, but with Tanki, I can only hope the overview shown after the kill will give me a clue but too often it does not.

 

Furthermore, for those really concerned about Shaft and Railgun, when three players team up they can take down these snipers. It takes a bit of added skill and cooperation.   Which leads me to my next point.

 

Tanki needs to provide team communications only options. If I want to direct my read team, I need an easy way to tell them what I think without the opposing team knowing. From what I can tell, the chat options do not allow this. 

 

Finally, I hope the Tanki developers will make contact with me personally as I have many many years of experience with this technology.  I tried Tanki years ago and forgot about it and only recently rejoined and now it really really rocks. 

If u cannot judge where the shot coming from after u killed, then u probably need more practice and skill.

Não veem que shaft não pode jogar em muitos mapas porque não existe acampamento e nem distancia de armar um tiro.

O "D/L" de Shaft só é alto quando ele tem proteção da equipe, Shaft sozinho é a arma mais vulnerável do jogo.

Demora muito para carregar o tiro, não tem visão periférica quando esta armado, precisa ficar parado e exposto para atirar

Mesmo nos mapas onde é possivel manter "D/L" alto, ainda é horrivel jogar com esse laser no Shaft

Tried to give it another go fed up of being destroyed before i could even reload  with a fully upgraded shaft.  I'm afraid it's GAME OVER for me.  But will check to see if any changes..SHAFT ..R.I.P

Thanks for this update.

Lets rate it 0/10, I wanted to buy m2 shaft but now na its a failed turret... Why would you put a lazer on it? Just because so others can realize shaft is there, bro even if you see the lazer its about 25% that you will run away from it. Next time put the lazer to each turret so it will be so obvious that there is some one coming, stupid up date. 

 

 

All I like is the night mode, the shaft you can call it boo.

I am speaking as a non shaft user and I have to say I hate this update

I shall now repeat what I said earlier. I hate this update because it adds nothing that I can use all it does is tell me exactly where the shafts are except I already usually knew that anyway and all it does is add extra distraction with loads of different coloured lasers dotting the map and the real problem I have with shafts is the relatively short charge up time compared to the damage they do. seriously they oneshot everything or nearly anything and charge up nearly as fast a railgun.

I agree on the freeze. I hate freeze. What I think should happen is that they should keep the laser on shaft, but in daytime the laser is only visible as a dot on the enemy tank, and as a dot on the shaft barrel. Otherwise at high ranked battles there is no point. However, I do like the laser at night, as that is when shaft is really overpowered. Anyways, good job tanki team.

I honestly don't know what y'all are complaining about. This is one of the best updates for shaft in a long time. The laser minimally affects gameplay (from what I've experienced) and a shakeless aim has got to be way more comfortable than one that is.

In my mind this is not harming shaft, that is only if you know how to hide your beam from your target! ;)

Unshaking view scope is perfect now, since shaft user can (ab)use it to get a clear lock on slightly/partly visible moving target ;)

Tried it and it made me satisfied! :)

Shafted this time big style. Now approaching enemy can even see where your aiming, where you are and shaft doesn't get a chance. Lost count of the amount of times people just dodge the laser and drive up to with immunity cos they know your not aiming at them. Even other weapons just aim at the beam. Maybe the laser could start halfway distance if we have to have it.

I gave another go to the new Shaft.

 

It is rubbish, seriously.

 

The new feature doesn't affect too much the game at short and medium range, but this is obviously the kind of situation that a Shaft player is trying not to be involved in.

 

Sniping is no longer possible at all. Whenever I find a suitable spot and start scanning the possible target area, I immediately have 2 or 3 players ganging on me and taking me out. Being very very careful I can do 2 kills from a spot, but that's the maximum.

 

I was quite good at predicting opponents movements path, to aim the shaft to the point where the target is going to be in 2 or 3 seconds, to have it fully charged when it enters the bore-sight. I caught a good number of my kills with this technique.

This is utterly gone now since the opponent just sees the laser and stops.

 

It is no longer possible to look if an opponent is hiding among bushes since it requires the laser to be fully active while the sight becomes clear. Once again, other players shoot at you immediately.

 

I am going to wait a couple of weeks to see if the feature goes away or it is reduce to something more manageable,

If this is not going to happen, I do not think I will play anymore and I will ask for crystal refund.

Im beggining to get pissed off that every bad update most of the developers and helpers with tanki online seem to appaulse the changes, you see the majority of shaft players are complaining here, it will reach a stage where you will lose a majoirty of people who used to use shaft, HAVING A LASER ON IT IS COMPLETLY STUPID, you and the developers can carry on  being ignorant, there have been many great updates in the past, but in this instance, you turned shaft into a kids turret.. And you expect poor me and other people to adapt? No way, i can't be bothered, was thinking of m3 but thats never going to happen,  let the minority of shaft users remain who enjoy the update continue playing, they'll have a hard time doing it, if that's what you want, that's my last comment here

I am giving http://worldoftanks.eu/ a try.  The staggering arrogance displayed by some of the replies players/developers.  The lack of concern towards the people who have invested in the particular turret, leaving them no option to change to another without investment loss. And pig headed 'advice ' on telling them to change their tactics and gameplay to adapt to an unwanted change which was put in to pander to other players for exactly the same reasons they are now telling shafts to suck up and live with, has encouraged me on this.

Perhaps WOT modify their tanks as well but so far it does not look as if the have shafted a particular group of their players, pun intended.

Now there are much more shafts used. They camp, their kill is much easier than before, why ?

Tanki Online has to be renamed Shaft Online !!

Not a good one, except if the other tanks can get counter-measures to the fixing laser.
