Night Mode for maps and Shaft’s laser scope

 If this be the case, Why not put a laser on a Rail Gun, or Smokey? 

It would be different because Rail Gun is not a fixed target, shoot your gun moving, then hides and Smokey is shooting nonstop emquanto Shaft is a fixed target and helpless when this carrying his weapon

Not with double armor. The same problem exists even with double armor being used.

 

It's also supposed to be a range of damage between a high and a low but it seems like every shot is maximum damage now.

"Now"???

It has always been the same.

Shaft and Railgun are dealing the same damage no mather how big the distance is

I do not like the change of color for m2 shaft round it is yellow it was red. I like the red. Gimme back red. NO LASER It destroys the whole purpose of a sniper unseen and unsuspecting. But I do like the Stedy aim but I was better with the shakeing scope it gives realisticity.Well I dont like the lazer I like the steady aim though But ..... RED IMPACT,GIMME BACK. P.S. It looks like a m0 round :angry:

If these "Up"Dates keep going...soon...isida will loose his selfhealing powers...rico will loose his "bouncing" plasma balls...thunder will loose his splash damage...freeze will loose his freezing effect...firebirs will loose his afterburn effect...smoki will loose his critical shotts...twins will loose his inffinite ammo...railguns...railguns will be everywhere since there is nothing to take from it -_-

Tanki, as you can see, most people are not happy with this new update. If you listen to us players like you say you do, you would remove the laser from Shaft like most people want and bring back the 10 crystal boxes like most people want.

 

 

A whole idea of a shaft/sniper is to hide and shoot your enemies without them expecting it. The whole idea of a shaft/sniper is to stay hidden. Shaft used to be fun to use, but now its not. The second I zoom in, and the laser shows up, I get enemies shooting at me left, right and center.

 

 

So PLEASE remove the laser for Shaft.

 

 

And like most people want... PLEASE bring back the 10 crystal boxes! I miss them old shiny blue boxes.

Oh...and i just spent almost 140k on Shaft m3 durring Halloween sale...if you are not going to remove the laser the i want a refund(140k for shaft= lots of hours  of gaming for crys whitch i apperantly wasted on a nerfed gun -_- ) (thats not fair)

Uhmmm...agree with your comm about shaft...but..disagree with giving back crys boxes...why would you(all of you) want them back?...well...yes...youre not so bog ranked and its hard to earn crys but if you are going to earn crys from boxes then you cant earn xp and it will take you much longer to RankUp=>same low battle founds for long time...but if there are no more çrys boxes...u need to fight to earn them...but while u fight..u also make a lot of xpso its a win/win...when there was crys boxes even if you would be in winning team..a guy from loosing team could make more crys then you from gathering crys boxes...now they cant do so => hard work=RankUp=more crys=better equipment=even faster RankUp=even more crys...and so on...

The damage dealt by shaft is the same as before

Your argument is invalid

!. The Wiki hasn't been updated.

2. Coding errors could have gotten into this update.

3. The shaft has a range of damage - not a fixed number.

 

I have a tank that survived shaft hits before this update and not it does not. Nothing changed other than this update.

 

Either the shaft puts out more damage, the percentage of max. damage shots is higher, or there is a bug in the code.

I been running Shaft for years. It always has been a challenge to stay alive out on the battlefield. The two weak points about the shaft is it's reload time and it's out of scope weak power mode. When the enemy finds you the odds are stacked against you of surviving the confrontation. The laser adds more trouble for shaft. Shaft is a sniper it's not a beacon of hope. I don't think the Dev's considered that this also adds to a dumbing down of players. The ability to deal with a shaft out on the battlefield without a laser teaches them cognitive battling skills. By adding a laser players no longer have to think just stay away from the laser beam. According to Wiki shaft is a sniper and a sniper doesn't make their presents Known out on the battlefield. Shaft should be the most powerful weapon out of all the turrets in scope mode. Shaft is a one shot one kill sniper and it should not be balanced. That's what makes shaft special and that's what makes team mates lucky to have a great shaft player covering there back out on the battlefield. Please remove the laser! Please refund my crystals back to me if your not going to remove the laser and take my shaft back. I have invested in a M3 Shaft fully Micro Upgraded.

 

P.S. Shafts on both sides of the battlefield make this turret a balanced weapon! Most players do not like shaft due to it's slowness. I'm a shaft that will remove key players who also are well equipped. These players at my rank have fully micro upgraded hulls, turrets, paints and battle supplies. This laser is not feasible at my rank. The shaft needs as much help as possible not adding more obstacles on to it. Maybe you just don't have any idea really what a shaft has to deal with?

Well...i dont agree with none of these 2...shaft damage didnt changed...thats for sure...the bug thing might be plaussible but are small chances for such thing

Maybe dev's should make the prize for each modification of shaft few times bigger and get rude of the lazer???

Well...i dont agree with none of these 2...shaft damage didnt changed...thats for sure...the bug thing might be plaussible but are small chances for such thing

I've been playing for about 5 months now and shaft rarely ever blew up my tank with a single shot.

 

Now I feel as if the tank is made of paper and I am a fish in a barrel.

 

Something is amiss and since we don't have access to the code it is nearly impossible to figure it out.

 

And, yes, screwing up code is easy replace a "2" with a ".2" or leaving out a ( [ { or } ] ) is relatively easy to do.

The only real tactical advantage of the laser I have come across is that if you are going to steal a flag you will know if one of your team members is backing you up.

 

By faking a flag taking attempt and pulling an enemy tank into the beam you will know that someone else will pop them.

 

Otherwise having 10 different lasers about is highly annoying and distracting.

No offence DrSaint, but I have been running a shaft since before Rebalance. You state that "maybe this new laser feature is hindering some new shaft users, but not the old shaft users." I think your perception will change by the time you rank to Generalissimo, where there are more experienced players.  At the rank of Generalissimo, Shaft is a sitting duck from the minute it takes it's first shot. The reason you see such high destroy rates on some shafts, is not because they are OP, but because of skill. I rather have the shake than the beam. Having a beam at the rank of Generalissimo is a joke. Like waving a flag, "Here I am! Over here! Come and get me!" I have heard a lot of players (claiming to have a Shaft) boasting about how they are fine with the new up date, that the game is more challenging, and only unskilled shafts are having difficulty, etc. I have encountered these same players on the field and they are not running a shaft...LOL. I think what we have here, is a lot of players agreeing with this update, that don't run a Shaft. And the other half just wants to boast. And then there is the group that is still using their shaft against lower ranking inexperienced players.

About the skilfulness of shaft players, FOR YOUR INFO: to use a shaft you don't have to be a skilled player, SHAFT IS THE MOST AIDED WEAPON IN GAME, AND IT DOESN'T REQUIRE ANY SKILLS BUT PATIENCE TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL SHAFT USER!

In my mind shaft user is less skillful to a player who uses (unaided) rail. Rail user has to be extremely skillful to get a fast moving long range target while shaft only have to do is follow it with his scope. SHAFT LOOKS SOPHISTICATED AND COMPLEXED but in reality it is similar to a car with automatic gearbox.

 

Most of the times I am using Shaft-Viking M3 combination, with quite a good amount of micro-upgrades for more than one year now, so what you are saying is not news for me, after the new physics upgrade (Such a foolish name for an upgrade) i reduced my dependence on shaft's lighter combinations and managed to develop a heavy hull combination, so it is not a huge problem for me.

The shaft is a snipers weapon. Can you picture a sniper (outside of the movies) with a laser, alerting his target? Sorry if anyone is offended by this, or feels the need to prove me wrong to pump up their image as a "skilled" shaft runner, but the laser has no business on the shaft. If this be the case, Why not put a laser on a Rail Gun, or Smokey? 

For sake of the argument let me join you:

As a matter of fact shaft is on a tank (hull), it is not on a sniper's shoulders (Ooops), how many tanks in real battle fields you have  seen with a Sniper weapon?

In tanki we play a game to enjoy and earn crystals, and tanki developers didn't want non-shaft users to be just spectators or prey in nighttime maps!

 

The sole reason i am not participating in this negativity is, I know it will not change anything but add negativity to my mood, As long as it is acceptable i will return to this game and i will continue to enjoy it!

DrSaint has nohting further to say about this upgrade. Thread closed for me, but I will read your reply as a respect to "opponent's" thoughts!

I am too old to be offended, or to try and prove what skill is, and is not, or whether it takes more to run a rail or shaft, or who has been running shaft longer than the other, or whether one knows that there is more to shaft than just making a kill. I stated my points, and you, yours. And I most definitely don’t consider myself to be your “opponent” in this issue. It is good that the developers view everybody’s input on this matter. And thank you for enlightening me as to the Shaft sitting on a tank (hull). I was starting to wonder about that one. :lol: I play for fun...I will not speculate as to what the developers assignments are. In the end the administration will have the final say, according to what they have gathered...Good luck to you on the battlefield.

I am a skilled shaft player. I suck the oxygen from the battlefield. I am the game changer. I aid in winning most games and leave asking for no thanks. I ruin and shutdown key players that try to dominate the battlefield and my key team players. I'm the shaft that hits you at the last second when making off with the flag or just before you plant it. I know my objective on the battlefield "not to just pop players off like most shafts". I cover my players when their attacked or when their running off with the other teams flag. I oversee my team and put myself in places where I am needed. I am a skill shaft player because I know my objective on the battlefield. The laser doesn't belong on the shaft period!!!

 

P.S. If your the type of player that has no idea what your objective is as a shaft and you just pops players off then your not a true shaft.

I have to say that the laser beam ruins the whole point of shaft because your meant to aim and shoot surprisingly and its meant to hit the other teams players when they don't know and can you  continue dropping gem boxes because than it is much more of a challenge.
