Night Mode for maps and Shaft’s laser scope

I also want to mention that your reply dismissed without rebuttal my points on the fairness of the update in favor of complaining about how unrealistic it is. (I agree a visible laser on a sniper is unrealistic, but being realistic isn't the point of tanki in the first place. being fun and fair is.)

You are right about the laser, as I realised afterwards that lasers are only mainly used in short range weapons. But the devs decided to make shaft less powerful and decided to add something commonly found in Hollywood shootout movies - a red laser on a sniper weapon. True, it is not realistic but if you want realistic warplay you might as well play the popular FPS games. Tanki will always have a bit of futurism and will be a bit cartoony, so I guess it works.

 

 

Although I have no other complaints (this was and probably is still one of the best tank games online), it is not good to mislead people. If a weapon is "not" a Sniper's weapon, then it shouldn't be deemed as such. Just my thoughts.

TO ALL SHAFT USERS WHO THINKS THE LASER NERFS THE SHAFT. I have seen many shaft users who are not hindered by the laser at all. I suggest looking up YouTube videos that show tips on how to trick the enemy with your laser. I also know that you have to be in scope mode for a full second before your laser evens comes on. They won't be able to react if you aim at the enemy in arcade mode, then drop into scope mode for the kill shot after 2 seconds of charging.

 

 

EDIT: It has come to my attention that no less than 4 youtube guides on the shaft's laser already exist. Here is the link to one of them

This update completely ruins the shaft from a tactical standpoint.

 

The beam across the whole map essentially gives everyone a crystal clear target to shoot at.The whole point of having a long range gun is to hide and shoot from cover.

 

To those complaining about the shaft hitting them unexpectedly, perhaps you shouldn't just drive willy nilly through wide open spaces and leave yourself open to attack.

 

You can see the direction the shaft is hitting from if you watch it hit another tank. Easy way to find the sniper and kill them either with another shaft or with a short range gun. That's how to beat them. And it takes skill. Just like sniping.

 

The shaft already has plenty of disadvantages:

slow reload time

slow turn speed

low power hits in arcade mode

high recoil

shake in sniper mode (which should be kept because it forces the player using it to have skill)

 

It was mentioned earlier that they could change the laser to a dot on the target. I think this sounds like a much better idea.

 

whats the use of having a sniper tank if you can see it. if you going to keep the laser let us paint just the  target  we going to kill not see the laser across the arena .. and put shaft orignal power back before the  updates  of you lowering shaft power by 5% by  holding the load button to build up shot you making shaft weaker and weaker by taking more from it

They should remove the lazer and bring back the swave , and replace the lazer when the gun shoots u c a little smoke , swaving is more useful to me , because if a tank is on the roof and he is a meter higher than yr max raise degree the swave will swave and give u a little a fare shot !!!!

They didn't cost you that, it was your decision to buy the Rail, and i've never successfully dodged a shaft shot once it found me, you can still keep up with a player when they're running, its not that much of a downgrade, i think this is a great update and they should leave it the way it is except for darkening the maps more,

I gave up on shaft on 2nd day of release..I abandoned my profile and started a new one, but crystals are so hard to earn now to build up a new tank .So no i dont play as much anymore

Can not play on most maps

turning slow, it takes too long to load, no vision of the game when this targeting

I've been trying it for a while now and have given up completely on it.  I then went to my M1 wasp and a small gun for the speed so I could change my game and start going after the flag...seeing as how sniping is now a lost cause.  Unfortunately, I have now learned that railgun doesn't even have to be in the ballpark to hit my tank.  Seriously, today I was getting shot trails that looked like they were an entire tank length to my rear...and I would blow up anyways.  Enough.  It was fun while it lasted but I'm gone.  I'll drop in every once in a while to see if the game is back to where it doesn't feel like I was now playing Mario Bros but until then.................

They aren't going to bring it back, im confused why this topic is still open, they merged night mode and shaft update in one topic unpurpose to ignore the fact people are complaining abut shaft

 

I often question if the developers are actually developing updates that aren't so childish and completely killing turrets, with a laser, you can't hide, you can't camp, you can't gain good points, you have to constantly move everywhere and with the stupid laser you literally cannot defend yourself, what's the purpose of this update? You can see many players here can't use shaft as they used to anymore, and that's not what an updates supposed to do... Until you take the laser off shaft the turret has become a complete joke, and we will refuse to use it....

I Stopped using my Smokey for Shaft and have quadrupled my xp and scores easily ,to the point of feeling sorry for my victims.......nah, not really. You all deserve to get popped...lol.  Love the Added Human equation involved with Shaft's Techniques. Theres a sucker born (Spawned) every second, thanks to Shaft.  He's a Bad Mother.....shut your mouth...lol.  I Have 6 ranks in 30 days with the new shaft, going on 7, Nice update.  I Would like to suggest a mine icon or light that lets players know when the mine has been detonated.  Thanks Tanki

you should add back crystals boxes and add new hulls to make tanki a better game and epic battle modes to make tanki interesting and more competions in clan battles and team battles to make tanki more popular and fun and tanki should drop 100 gems boxes on christmas day so more people will play tanki. You should have more half sales and discounts so there will be better tankers in tanki online in case off a emergency you never know we may even vs minecraft for the most popular game award so we should be prepared for anything can happen i hope you tankers take my advice thank you. Ps im just helping tanki become a better game by mr.crazymaster my rank is warrant officer 4
