Why is Tanki on Miniclip?

No disrespect in any of the following message.....

 

If Tanki is loved and played by so many millions of people, has all these contests, wins awards, featured here and there on game websites, includes web blogs left and right, and is such the huge thing, and etc. Why is it listed as miniclip.com/tanki and not hosted and/or presented/featured on its own Tanki website? :huh:

miniclip is the best online flash game platform, featuring a lot of free flash game and most of them are best of best flash game.

 

I play only all flash games on miniclip until one day I found tanki on miniclip, then I found out the official tanki website, then I was here from  the beginning.

 

I think tanki put link on miniclip because it is like adverting, since most english players play english games, while tanki mainly known in russia.

 

same as tanki on vk, it is like advertise tanki to more english and other language players.

by the way, the tanki on miniclip is same as on russian servers, it is just embeded in miniclip, the account is same in offical tanki server.

I found Tanki through Miniclip, before the graphic update. Ah. I wish I had played a little more then. I only ranked my account 4 times before I got bored then. I came back about a year later and was surprised to see my garage gone and that cool Hunter in my garage. Then I learned Tiers were gone and kinda got less excited, seeing how I would have to rank up and play more and yadda yadda, but still, Miniclip!

You just completely danced around the whole point of the question. If you did not truly know, then say you don't know. It is not because of advertising. The game has miniclip listed as its address with a slash then Tanki at a secondary location. Meaning not its own address. For example you see facebook with its dot com address and you don't see a slash pertaining to someone elses site. Get it?

LOL You don't understand. Tanki advertises on miniclip, you can play tanki trough miniclip. So casual players discover this game. Soon, tanki will be on facebook too :D

Ok, I'll try again, for you. The guy has a problem (presented a bit unclear though) - why the address is http://www.miniclip.com/games/tanki-online/en/ - this is why I'm asking the guy, how does he think the url should look like when you want to enter Tanki through a site that contains a million more games?

I'm quite sure DarkOperative addressed your question, although not in detail. Let me explain. When accessing the game through Miniclip, a miniclip.com/tanki URL is indeed used. This is simply because Miniclip is hosting the game on its website, so it uses its own URL to provide Tanki Online to its players - this does not mean Miniclip owns Tanki in any way, shape or form. There has merely been an agreement between Miniclip and Tanki for Miniclip to be able to host the game on its website so Miniclip gets more players, in return for Tanki getting more players through Miniclip.

 

However, Tanki has its own website when not accessed through Miniclip, which is not a subdomain of Miniclip.

So, you're expecting miniclip to link tanki onlines game right to the tanki online website right?

 

It doesn't work that way. If miniclip did it that way, miniclip would not earn enough money through advertising because if you go and play a miniclip game, most of the time you get an ad before the game starts.

 

Companys pay miniclip to advertise their company, tanki online pays mini clip to advertise them. Its a neverending circle of advertisement. It never ends.
