Sportmanship and Taking Advantage

I do not know if this is discussed elsewhere, but I can't read the entire forum before posting, like some would suggest.

In some games, I notice that one team has say 5 players and the other has only 2, and the 2-team is getting whopped.

In other games, I notice the two teams have the same number of players but one team is say an average of 5 ranks higher than the other team and is whopping them.

I normally would never join either of those cases. I normally would not join a battle when one side is winning by a big gap.

In the first one, you may get stuck as your teammates leave and you do not want to donate your rewards to the other team, but it is a miserable situation. That and other considerations make me avoid long battles or join in the last 5-10 minutes, so whatever happens, it is not a big deal, but getting stuck for 40 minutes in a bad situation really sucks. When someone is caught up in this situation, should not they be allowed to quit the battle and take their rewards?

The second case looks like some players want to take advantage of low ranks and take "their" crystals.

My question here is:

As we are enjoying the game and whopping the other side silly, do we realize that they are here to enjoy the game just like us and that they are not enjoying the game at all because of the power unbalance and they would either quit the game or just play with their friends from now on?

I am sure other people have seen this and thought about it. What does everyone think?

People are arrogant as hell. That is true in real life as much as it is in the game. It's even worse in the game because you don't talk or see the person, whose game experience you are ruining.

The only solution is to play closed battles with friends or find a battle where the players actually have some dignity and respect for others. Doesn't happen often, but sometimes you can get lucky.  ;)

when I notice that one team is doing a bit too well, I usually hit the tab key.

If it turns out there is an imbalance, then I will leave the battle regardless of what side I'm playing.

Not all will agree with this, but I like to play fair.

I would do the same, but the presence of battle fund and the fact that you reset your score in the battle and get no prize if you leave before the end, means that even when there are only 3 people left, playing against 10, I can't leave and join the smaller team because I don't want to lose my score and prize, meaning that I have to sit there with nothing to to other that beat up the three poor players, otherwise my teammates will overtake me and get more crystals...
