Gold Box drop locations

Can you please mark out what ones are on DM, TDM, CTF & CP

Well, they're all pretty much the same regardless of game mode. The only exception is when there is a gold box drop location in the same place as flags in CTF and points in CP - in that case the drop location will not be active and the gold will drop in one of the empty spots.

well you have a point but are you forgetting about dm

It's even more fair in DM. When there are many locations, it means that light hulls will have enough time to go over most (if not all) of the potential drop locations and find the mark on the floor, while the heavy hulls may not necessarily have enough time to find the location, but if they do it's highly unlikely that they will die or be pushed away, so most of the time the gold will be theirs. My point is that with such a large number of potential gold drop locations light hulls have a low chance of catching the gold, but will most likely find the location, whereas heavy hulls will be able to hold the position on the drop location, but have a low chance of actually finding where the gold drops. It's balanced.

2 spots to add to your map

Serpukhov:

in the bottom middle of your map picture, the bump out high area near the edge of map, where facing the bridge and back of the ramp.

similar drop area design like the top middle bump out high area.

Kurgur,

the bottom middle high land area of your map picture, right behind the big sign board. a lot of times i saw it fall them.

After the recent update the time between the siren and the actual gold box was reduced to 20 seconds. If the gold box falls for another 5-10 seconds, it means that you have no more than 30 total seconds to find the mark on the floor and defend yourself from others. With the significant increase of the number of gold box drop locations (on Madness some say the gold falls in over 40 different spots) it has become very difficult to find the spot and catch the gold.

I want us to unite together and as a community, mark all the gold drop locations on plan views of every map, so that when the siren sounds you'll be able to choose the most efficient path around the map to check most (if not all) of the potential gold box drop locations, increasing your chances of catching the gold.

I'll start this off with four maps for which I already have most gold box locations marked.

If you have any more gold box drop locations for these maps, feel free to describe the location or post a screenshot with the gold box dropping there.

If you want me to add another map - name the map and give me some initial drop locations if you have any.

The list will be constantly expanding and new locations will be added to existing images, so check this topic every once in a while if you consider yourself to be a professional "gold hunter"  :)

There is one gold drop location you have missed which is in Superhov in front of the ramp to the hill a saw and took a gold box there.

me is the light hull XD, its better, because there are many jump spots (in polygon), so you have 70+% chance if it drops in one of em, and i have enough skill (ok, and luck too), to get some of those, which can't be taken by flight :)

I don't get the tunnel. I didn't know there was a tunnel....

There is. It used to be closed an there was a self-destruct zone, but now it's open and has three entrances (the gold falls on the intersection)

Well, the links are just sending me to the page. If you want to post a link to the exact post with the screenshot, click the post number in the top right corner of the post (e.g. #3809) and copy the link from the box into here.

Ok, there are one or two new spots on there. I saw the posts on the previous page and added the new locations to my own file, but didn't get around to uploading it yet :/
