Although it falls exactly in the middle and not closer to the edge. Unless there is a spot right next to it...

There were 2 golds today i saw in Edinburgh. I noticed they both dropped in the middle, so it is true that there is only 1 drop zone. But in case of a double gold box there, anyone know?

Yes, it is true. I think it's the only map with just one gold drop spot.

Mafioso (Mafioza sounded better ;)) - on Silence, if you go straight ahead from the blue flag and jump, you go over a ramp. When you go up that ramp, there's a Gold drop zone, right? Well, the Gold can also appear underneath the drop zone you already marked - but I don't have a screenshot... :D

Well there is a bigger chance of gold dropping there than on the pillars. But I haven't seen any gold on the middle on the bottom recently...

It makes sense to go up there because there because the chance of finding a gold spot there is three times greater than in any other place where only one gold drops. The only better place to go is the centre middle, because there are five spots there, but if the bottom area is dominated by the enemy team, then it's better to stay "upstairs" to have a lower risk of getting killed. Besides, from up above you can see the whole map, so if the box isn't dropping up there then you still have a good chance of noticing it in the air and driving up to the spot while it falls.

Most of the time, gold "plops"up on the bottom, but sometimes it falls.

thanks to this forum, i was able to find and get the gold box, i was the only one at the drop zone!!! (Noise CTF)
