Lucky you. When I was a lieutenant I only got around 5 gold boxes because all of them used to get stolen by buyer mammoths, who only entered battles to get golds.

Yeah, and i also liked the old version of tanki, one year ago, but before predictable drops. That was very fun. I got my first gold in serpuhov back then. But on this account, I got lots of golds, including witnessing some youtubers miss golds, such as:

in madness, and i stole 2 golds from .

Well, I'm talking about the even older times when gold boxes dropped at every 700 fund, which is why there was a problem with "gold hunters", who looked for battles with a fund that's getting close to 700 (or 1400, 2100 etc.) and if they found one they simply waited in battle on pause until 700, went to the centre of the map when the time came, took the gold and left.

 

I only caught one of these gold boxes at 1400 fund, in an abandoned battle with only a few players left, close to the server restart, meaning that very few were online. The next few gold boxes I caught were after the gold box change, when golds would drop randomly at any fund with no warning.

Really? I only got about 30 unpredictable and over 100 over the past year.

Yes really! I've caught somewhere over 50 or 60 (lost count since then) with unpredictable gb with main acc and combined alt accounts would be over 100. I've always been lucky, most of the time goldbox usually dropped above me unexpected  :D or I would see the gb dropped before anyone sees it I get to the drop zone before them. Even though I have caught plenty with predictable gb too, but not as frequent as with unpredictable. It is just much more difficult because everyone flocks up at drop zone and you have just push in or try be in the middle or even figure out how to jump on top of them or server decided to "jump hack" you to be on top of other tank while pushing them and so on. It's a pity that mults causes unpredictable gb system to go away. Plus, I remember my first gb was 300 at Brest map right next to the bridge during euro soccer event! :lol:

I remember before I got my first gb or even knew about it, some other players said to me "have you got goldbox?!" during one of the battle. And I was like I have no clue what he was talking about and I thought he and other player was a hacker trying to target me or do something bad to me because I might have a gb!  :lol:
