Now the chat violators section is closed and this is what it says…

From now on, the Chat Violations sections is no longer active.

As the community of tankers grows and develops, the methods and goals of our team of volunteers team evolve as well.

Reports by tankers are a valuable asset. However, we feel that confrontation is not the way to do things. It is better to educate than to punish. So from now on, helpers will be spending more time in chats in real time. Their duty will be to prevent violations by helping and educating tankers, instead of just banning for them.

We believe in the maturity and good will of our players. This is why we believe that this decision will ultimately work better for the community.

 

I think that by doing this they have effectively increased the amount of swearing and insults by a lot because what they are saying is they will not ban unless a chat mod saw the insult/swearing. I do not like this because now you can not report anyone. I would like to start a campaign to bring back chat violators section.

 

 

 

Plz post I will support if you agree with me. Then up vote Hopefully we can bring back  Chat violators

You guys should understand that the whole purpose of banning someone is educating him that was he/she did is wrong and should not be repeated in the future! but sometimes you find that warning or simply talking slowly and in a calm way will do wonders! that's what they are trying to do! in addition they sure will start to spend more time in the game ! that will create the balance after closing this section !

Who cares, it's no big deal. If someone insults you, just ignore them. It isn't too hard. I wouldn't really care because when you think about it, an insult through text doesn't really mean anything (well, that is for me). I would personally insult them back...just...saying... I've never been reported before...so it's no problem for me. I am not encouraging you or anyone else to use profanity/insults, just saying what I would do.

 

If someone is racist, then just ignore them or just leave the battle.

Pretty certain no moderator has "educated" me. Understandably mods aren't always around, but if the violators section is being closed, then the mods going around better be fairly switched on about the rules and their communication skills! 

Anyway, I never used the chat violators section because I used to just abuse the offender back. But I understand not everyone is comfortable standing up for themselves so I reckon they should keep the chat violators section open. After all there is no negatives to it. It isn't a matter of just punishing them, you can still educate them. Plus moderators aren't always around, hence the reporting system is necessary.

this is terrible. tanki is absolutely wrong in thinking that chat violators closing will the condition get any better, now everybody will have the incentive to cuss and swear at any of their opponents wth absolute assurance of not getting a ban. i absolutely ABHOR ( i think it means what i think it means) this change to the game and am completely against it... not only that, people who have never sworn online before will get the urge to do it because they know that no one can stop them. i thiink this update is a downward spiral for the tanki game and is detrimental to the tanki society!
