[Tanki Race] Deathtrack map is a racing track, have you tried?

Deathtrack map is really a racing track, have you tried?

 

I have been around for 2 and half years, I have never see that map until today I saw a parkur video in that map,

 

I tried all unknow map in the list, and I found the Deathtrack map,

 

after I found the start line in the map, I nitro up and give a full-on-track race, and I finished in 70 sec,

 

and I tried with some side cornering tricks, and finished in 60 sec.

 

11.5 speed mu-ed hornet m3.

 

 

What is your record.

 

by the way, there is tons of nitro drops, you can pick up along the track.

 

 

 

 

 

 

By the way, I used to race with friend on Monte Carlo map,

 

starting with friend on opposite team at base bridge, and racing toward enemy flag from home side. see who get opposite flag first. which is a almost full track run, with no jumps.

I created a battle on it once after the server restart - that's the only way to make people enter such an unpopular map. It's a very interesting design, great for stealthy tactics and speedy light hulls. I'm not sure about racing though, as it would be very difficult to make the race fair. I'll try creating a battle on it once again someday...

It's sad how people wont try something new for a change, all Tanki maps are awesome in there own way, but for some reason players stick to a few maps that I can actually count on my fingers... :mellow:

All that is needed to fix this is a simple notification that informs the player about new unlocked maps as they rank up. Like in the pop-up box you get when you rank up, as well as new hulls, guns and paints they need to add all the maps that get unlocked with the new rank. And when you click that map it automatically creates a DM battle on that map and puts you into it to let you explore. Otherwise you end up having a small set of maps available from small ranks, people create these maps and they get used to them and don't ever get motivated to explore anything else.

The Devs should have promotions to popularize other maps like maybe have a secret 2000 or 3000 gold box falling randomly in some unpopular map. It would really make players explore other maps. They could even make this a weekly thing, like make this event one day per week. I think one of the main reasons why players leave is the lack of variety seen in the game. The battles are always Silence, Superhov, Noise, Sandbox, Polygon, Stadium all day everyday. There are at least 25 other awesome maps that really make you focus on a completely different form of game play and strategy. Plus such an event would hype up game play and we would see more players in each server.

 

That's just my opinion of course. Would the Devs really care????

YES!!!! There are so many awesome maps but everyone sticks too the typical Rio, Silence, Serpuhov and dont try all the good maps

People stick to their favorite maps, because before you know they're removed due to impopularity... now that's sad!!!

This idea has been suggested quite a few times in slightly different wording. I don't thing popularising maps will work the way you describe it, though. If there's one map every day with 3000 gold boxes, then I'm sure you realise that the servers will be full of that particular map. Sure, it adds variety overall and people will play even the rarest map when it's that map's turn to have a bonus, but on any particular day you would have to deal with playing on one map only, which is not the best...

 

I'm sure there are better ways to implement this and I'm sure those ways have already been suggested, so all we have left to do is wait.

the only way to make it interesting is 10 people racing for 5 rounds with supply on,

 

so people can have time to catch up with nitro, and how to time when to use nitro,

 

of course, all must be same modification for racing. like m3 vs m3 , m2 vs m2; and more people and more fun.

The problem is that whoever takes the nitro will win the race. I only see this being done with drugs on so that people can use their own nitro whenever they want to.

sandbox

noise

silence

and maybe combe and ping pong

Yeah, if the game would notify you of new maps that unlock once you get ranked-up (same way they notify you about new hulls/guns/paints), then all maps would be popular because players would know that those maps actually exist.

Indeed; I infere one of the sole purposes was to race, for it's a "Deathtrack". 

 

 

May I mention there is literally a track that goes all the way around the map?
