Now the chat violators section is closed and this is what it says…

 tankers

From now on, the Chat Violations sections is no longer active.

As the community of tankers grows and develops, the methods and goals of our team of volunteers team evolve as well.

Reports by tankers are a valuable asset. However, we feel that confrontation is not the way to do things. It is better to educate than to punish. So from now on, helpers will be spending more time in chats in real time. Their duty will be to prevent violations by helping and educating tankers, instead of just banning for them.

We believe in the maturity and good will of our players. This is why we believe that this decision will ultimately work better for the community.

I think that by doing this they have effectively increased the amount of swearing and insults by a lot because what they are saying is they will not ban unless a chat mod saw the insult/swearing. I do not like this because now you can not report anyone. I would like to start a campaign to bring back chat violators section.

Plz post I will support if you agree with me. Then up vote Hopefully we can bring back  Chat violators

In a way, it's good that they closed it, because they want the community rid of Ignorance. On the other hand, it should be open because you have some people(Like the Joker Assassin plague on EN1) that continuously violate rules. People like this, and other repeat offenders SHOULD be punished for their actions. No sense in "teaching" these kinds of people anything, despite the optimism and hope they will change. As for me, I have mixed feelings, so I won't say I support this or not.

I'm surprised no one has done what Joker_Assassin did. Very easy, even if Tanki Online's staff is using IP bans there is such an easy way to get around it (not mentioning how to avoid even more chat violators).

If I choose to "un-support" in the future, will you take my name off? Just curious.

Quick-EDIT: I do wish that the chat violators section is reopened but I wish not to be a supporter of this thread. I'll just support the idea of bringing back the chat violators section. DO NOT add my name to the supporters list, thank you.

I won't support this thread just because I don't want my name there. HOWEVER, I do wish that they would reopen the chat violators section :).

make an alt account and then support

will you support?

Yes, because there will be more abuse now, when most of the players will know that the violators section is closed.

Because, let's be honest, you think helpers will waste their time by watching an entire battle of 1 hour to see if there are insults? No.

So I support this.

Oh, I have an idea! Why don't we have the chat violators section open for reporting players that will be then PMed by moderators to give them a few lessons. The PM cannot be deleted till the moderator does.

will you support

and nice idea you should post that in the ideas and suggestions section

I like their approach.

It is actually more reasonable to teach players and guide them to the path of a violation-free career. Reporting by players is really important and the moderators do appreciate those whom use it for good, however, reporting a violation and posting a topic on forum isn't a bad thing as well.

You see, the evidence players send are normally and obviously not in present. That player had made a violation long ago. So, ban him?

What if you try to teach him. Similarly, if a moderator is in a battle and sees a violation, he doesn't ban. He would advise the player to not violate rules and follow each and everyone. However, if the player's karma shows that he doesn't listen to the mods' advise, then they would most probably take steps higher(ban/warn).

I totally support their idea to hire moderators whom aid players to let them and others play freely and safely.

On the other hand, not reporting chat violations on forum now might cause a bit more violation(s)... but with time it'll go away as mods are working hard on this. :)
