Supply Stealing

Hi,

This is an issue that has really come up lately a lot. What I find extremely annoying is when a player "steals" supplies that are dropped on the ground, even when they have the same supply activated. For example, I had the flag and there was a thunder behind me and I had low health, and there was a health box was close by. But someone from my own team took the health box even though he had full health. Therefore I died and the flag got returned. I found in some battles players just run around taking all the supply boxes, regardless if they already have them activated or not. This sort of foul play is extremely annoying.

 

I also am aware that you can extend the length of your active supply by picking up another one, however I still think this should be changed.

I would agree that it would be better if people could not activate health box if they were at full health, but as for the others, I have deliberately activated them at times to keep them out of enemy hands or to extend my own drugging.  I think that's just part of the game.

Unfortunately it works both ways - a team member with a supply in use should not be able to harm a team by driving over the supply.

 

That really irritates me when a friendly screws me out of a supply when they have one already in use.

 

Obviously it is a tactical move to prevent an enemy from getting it, but, it works both ways.

 

If the supply in use is blinking already then I have no problem with it.

Makes me cry when that happens,

 

Healing supply should not be taken by a full health opponent/team.

But they should be able to get other supplies, even if they are all ready using it.

i think they should make it so if you go over a health box with full health they don't collect it

I am sorry, but what is your suggestion? All I saw is a problem without a solution, this sections is for ideas to be posted not issues..

 

However, I see that there is no need.. as a7x_Pedro48 said, picking up First aids while you have full health is kinda of selfish, but for other supplies it is needed, since you will run out of them and you need to renew them. But what I usually do is pickup all drop boxes in the middle or at the enemies base not because I need them, it's because I don't want my enemy to get them, which is what most people do when they pick up First Aids while they have full health, your team mate probably didn't see you but saw an enemy about to take it so he took it, which sounds VERY reasonable for me.

Problem without a solution?

 

The solution = nobody can pick up a repair kit when they have full health!

That seems like a good idea, but that is the only supply I'd ever like to see this sort of an update applied to. As with other supplies, your timer may be just about to run out, and hence, it is smart to pick up a supply before one of your other supplies has run out.

Solution is Already given Below !!!! If this Happens then Yahoo  :wub:.

That seems like a good idea, but that is the only supply I'd ever like to see this sort of an update applied to. As with other supplies, your timer may be just about to run out, and hence, it is smart to pick up a supply before one of your other supplies has run out.

Also KIM that repair kits cost 150 in the garage whereas others are 50 each.

 

In RIO there is a repair kit in blue base right under a spawn point - a spawning tank has a high chance of "taking" that repair kit despite not even needing it.

 

In red base the spawning area has 2 or 3 spawn points where the other repair kit is located.

 

It's quite frustrating to have the flag, see the repair kit there, and then a spawning tank "steals" it without needing it.

 

If the idea were implemented with only repair kits then this kind of problem would  be avoided.

also, i am a person that does take health kit, but i don't take it from my team members, but if there is a person trying to take a flag, and there is a supply kit next to him, than i just take it and make him angry, if he is angry than he cant control himself, if he cant control himself than my team can quickly find him, if my team can quickly find him than the "he" is getting destroyed and if he gets destroyed with a flag, than he goes crazy... that's how people get crazy from playing tanki......

I think this is a problem of miserable team play. You can't avoid bad team players no matter what Tanki does. It could have been an act of innocent stupidity. Normally, your team should be guarding you and killing your chasers when you are carrying the flag.

 

Unfortunatly, Tanki is apparently made for real teams, not random people joining a random team. That said, I think Tanki should allow forming teams. Maybe that is what clans are. I do not know much about them. However, in current play, team members compete on capturing the flag, etc. and that may lead to miserable team play. I would not call it foul unless it's intentional. Many people have mediocre IQs, so if you have a good IQ, you'd be innocently judging them by a higher standard than you should. :)
