I'd like to point out that the name of the new turret almost implicates that it is a melee weapon, so I suggest you go with something else, or even be original and stick with, "Shotgun", as that is after all what is immediately drawn to mind when someone sees it. Additionally, I think, (almost like Shaft) you ought to be able to hold a full charge of three shots, but fire at any point of the reloading.

It's good for parkour, but it renders firebird and freeze maybe, obsolete, and makes shafts damage look tiny, with how much it does. It will one shot a hornet, or wasp, 3 shot a viking or hunter, and 4 or 5 shot a mammoth.

 

Not to mention the recoil, which can nearly flip a wasp m3 over on each shot!

Only did some tests with Hornet and Viking. In the test server Viking IMO is the better one of those two popular hulls.

I have a feeling that 'll be the the same in real battles.

 

Some early estimations, all IMO ofcourse:

 

- Hammer on the heavy hulls Titan and Mammoth: no, too slow to take cover after depleting the clip.

In DM 's most likely a good choice.

 

- Hammer on the light hulls: no, the Hammer is partly a melee weapon so you better have some decent HP/protection.

Could work well on bigger maps though.

 

- Hammer on the medium hulls: yes, best allround choice IMO. Decent HP and enough speed to take some cover while reloading

Which one of the three medium hulls? The one you prefer and/or have I guess.

 

Personally at this moment I 'm planning to mount it on a Viking in a nearby future. Nice variety to rotate it with my Thunder.

If the characteristics don 't change than it ranks nicely at the same rank (LT General) as the Viking does to M3.

Impact force too low? Did you even test the weapon??

 

You can flip hornets with a single shot if you hit them directly on the side. The tank doesn't swerve like it does when hit by smoky or ricochet, OK I give you that, it flips all together. Worse than that, in a pile-up if you shoot your team mates they flip too.

 

At one point I landed on my side, pointed at the ground and fired to straighten the tank... fliped twice before landing.

 

The impact detection of the weapon sucks, I agree, its not clear if you hit the oponent with the shot or not, specially form a distance, I agree with you, but the impact force (as well as the recoil an damagr) are too much.

I agree with the stuff about heavy and med hulls, but i think it can go quite well with hornet. you have good speed to run after depleting your clip, and don't have to worry about the self damage as with using thunder and hornet.

Tested it. This gun is way too OP. This is ridiculous. With DP, you can one shot 3 hornets in a row.

The turret is balanced - OP damage is balanced by reload and recoil, learn how to use it and it can easily become the most powerful weapon in the battlefield.

 

Three things - 1. wtf is the picture for that gun??!!!

                       2. The M0 - M3 has no visual change

                       3. Please add more of a visual effect when the bullets hit another tank.

 

That's all I have to say from about 15 mins of testing...
